Suggestion: new elite class

How about everyone! After thinking about it a lot, I came up with an idea to deal with the game’s target weapons (FG 42, MKBH, MP43, M2 CARBINE, AVS, etc etc). As many will surely know, these weapons are available to both engineers and soldiers, gunners, radio operators and even snipers. So it occurred to me to create a new class for these weapons. What would we fix with this? well, I think the game would be more immersive by not having volkssturm soldiers with FG 42.

In addition, it would avoid the monotony of always using the same type of weapon, and so players could use their much-loved bolt-action and semi-automatic rifles that they refuse to use just because they are not the final weapons.

For the new class I was thinking of paratroopers, at least in Normandy and Berlin. This new class could vary depending on the campaign and so on, I still do not have a clear idea but there it is.

As we can see, the paratroopers are already in the game, it would only be to modify their design a little to that of the premiun squadron of the axis in Normandy and add them.

No, SF weapons need only to be limited to assaulter and enginer as in stalingrad, and limit same squad type spam

Same squad spam Example
3 assaulter
3 tank
3 plane
3 enginer
Ecc… in sequence

Nobody stops you from using a bolt action or semi auto or MGs or Shotguns or Select fire.
It’s like free choice, you can play as any style or with any loadout as you want but you need to be prepared for the consequences of your playstyle and loadout.

i think the mkb, mp43, and stg44 should be moved over to be used for riflemen, since it was designed to replace the kar98k, which it never managed to do so.

also yeah, the fg42/II should be moved over to paratroopers since FG42 never had anything to do with non luftwaffe soldiers and it was a luftwaffe project. im saying this as a berlin axis player

im pretty sure that for paratroopers we should be able to have the option to either mount the scope, or the bayonet on the fg42

as for AVS36, i wouldnt know much, id say restrict it for use to a certain class and no other, considering this weapon wasnt common.

i think the m2 carbine could be limited easily, considering it was made from 1945 and onwards

i was more or less thinking about the possibility of restricting some of these godly weapons to classes that are almost never used, such as mortarmen, flametroopers, and in some cases radio operators (since many people just tend to use the radio op AI for spamming artillery)

my mistake, m2 carbine has its origins from may 1944 and onwards

if not then either assaulter for m2c and gunners for everyone else

they had this idea with some sort of class called guardsman in the alpha if i remember correctly,

where they had the stg.

but… got scrapped.

edit,
yep:

Or they technically change their name to assaulter, if i recall even the shotgunner was erased and some one else, and unified in the assaulter squad

nope.

we had assaulters AND guardsmen.

since the mp40 was pretty much at earlier level.

and we had shotgunners as well.

good times man…

( ok, maybe not with the mortar point and click on map similar to bf3/4 :joy: )

Lmao to bad no gameplay of that time, sure i want see this now

well, you just pressed rmb, and the maps opened with a red det, and you just had to fire.

not like now where you have to mark, range, and fire while moving a bit your mouse.

pretty broken and quite easy to get kills :joy:

i remember one game where i had 90 kills with mortars because engy boxes were a thing without limitation.

i feel abit ashamed. we don’t do that anymore :joy:

Uh. Wonder if they scraped it because they realized
“Oh woops. It’s an ss regiment!”
And snowflakes think remembering history is offensive.

I know… it’s becoming ridiculous. But so is the population wanting those laws (DF is mostly forced to abide).

Being an history buff with passionate hatred of censorship of any kind… Well it breaks my immersion a tad.

well, yeah. but mostly it’s because of the market.

look at the bright side, i’m sure when mods will be a thing, someone will think about that.

( especially on uniforms. not the ““funny windmills””, but make them more accurate in sense of camos and russian uniforms… )

Even the funny windmills shouldn’t be censored… I mean is that logo worse than this???:

:woman_shrugging:

i don’t make the rules hun…

Well in italy a lot of years ago during an election some people bring in a plaza a kekistan flag (search kekistan if you dont know about it) and let you imagine what happened next

Eheheh

There’s a huge difference in between acknowledging history, good AND bad, in the hope of preventing the same mistakes or continuing to do things well, and being a retard during an election

Like those fools in usa that shaved their heads and tried to create a racist movement of sort. Those didn’t remember history, they were just retards…

It’s true people nowadays have a lot of troubles differentiating stuff… Maybe it’s why officials censor things for them.

But anyway. Censorship is nothing more than treating people like idiots and playing the ostrich.

guardsman is what assaulter 2 is today.

there were no level 1 , level 2 etc etc squads back then.

one thing they should had kept was fg42 as machinegunners only.
