Suggestion for a New Game Mode: "Titan Assault" (Inspired by Battlefield 2142)

Hello Enlisted Devs and Community!

I’ve been thinking about how to bring a fresh, large-scale, and strategic game mode to Enlisted that stays true to its WWII setting while introducing new dynamics to gameplay. Inspired by the iconic Titan Mode from Battlefield 2142, I propose a new mode called “Titan Assault”—a massive, objective-driven battle that emphasizes teamwork, strategy, and epic-scale combat.

Concept Overview:

The mode would feature two heavily fortified structures (Titans)—one for each team—positioned at opposite ends of the map (e.g., northwest and northeast). Both teams start in the south, closer to their respective Titans, and must decide whether to attack the enemy Titan or defend their own. This creates a dynamic tug-of-war where players must balance offense and defense.

Why This Would Work in Enlisted:

  • Fresh Gameplay: The mode would offer a unique blend of large-scale battles, objective-based gameplay, and strategic decision-making.
  • Squad Focus: Enlisted’s squad mechanics would shine, as players coordinate to attack, defend, and complete objectives.
  • Replayability: The dynamic nature of the mode (e.g., shifting priorities, multiple routes, and unpredictable enemy movements) would make each match feel unique.
  • Epic Scale: The mode would capture the grandeur of WWII battles, with massive structures, intense firefights, and dramatic moments.

Sounds good. Just gonna throw my two cents into it, feel free to ignore it, shouldn’t it be called something more along the lines of stronghold or bunker assault rather than titan assault?

Bf 2142 was one of the best…

But Veekay45 would die of a stroke if things like the ratte and some other fantasy soviet fortress on threads were to be seen.

Dont know how it can translate well into Enlisted beyond bunkers otherwise P-47s and Tiger 2s would snipe the structure like fish in a barrel.

Maybe it could be coded to only take damage from direct infantry attacks, like grenades or TNT. Or it’s like the armoured train, indestructible, but you can capture it.

The old Battlefield games were the best Battlefields.

I once made a similar suggestion, having aircraft carriers in the pacific that you could spawn on and jump in a plane or landing craft or gun/AA turrets, and also sail the ship around the map.

This would be similar to Battlefield 1942, and would open up naval combat in the game. Instead of having tech tree naval ships, they would act as controllable spawn points which would appear on the map and could get destroyed after taking substantial damage. You could add destroyers and submarines and other types of ships on the maps besides the aircraft carriers.

Think of the old BF1942 maps like Wake Island, Iwo Jima, Midway, Coral Sea, etc…
