Suggested Plane and Tank updates

Planes

  • If you land your plane in the grey zone, it should spawn you back in battle as infantry.

  • Planes should be able to land on a runway to fix their aircraft, tanks can be fixed, aircraft should be able to as well.

  • Planes should spawn on runway in order to get into the air, remove the 1 minute timer and just add a plane deploy system.

  • Let pilots use binoculars in planes. There’s a slot for it.

  • Let pilots play radio and music in planes :).

  • Add more planes objectives such as, controlling air space, restricts radio arty calls. Etc.`

  • Add pilot animations, moving stick and pedals, flipping switch and pressing buttons for Guns and rockets.

  • Add paratrooper plane; Ai or player controlled, add paratrooper class to paratrooper plane. Paratrooper can perform reconnaissance in grey zones without death or penalty.`

  • Allow planes to place special pins and arrow communications on map battle map to communicate with friendly planes. Example, use an enemy plane marker to reveal an enemy plan near a coordinates pin. This could reveal an enemy plane pin behind you, or communicate a designated strafe-area or bombing run plan with pins to an ally plane for a coordinated attack.

To avoid map spam this communication tactic could be limited only to an officer class in each squad. This could be obtained through the upgrade tree when selecting classes to allow in the squad. If your captain goes down, you loose ability to communicate until you have a captain again.

Tanks

  • Add unique tank objectives, fight for a unique vehicle and infantry spawn point. Whoever controls the point, is able to use it for flanking.`

  • Add the ability to use radio in tanks.`

  • Add AI gunner on hatch for tanks, optional deploy, helps escort infantry.`

  • When in missile mode, let ai gunner use tank gun and shoot enemy infantry.`

  • Add visual scene inside tank for the hell of it. I wanna see inside the tank.`

  • Let infantry sit on tanks, and use guns while sitting on tank, maximum of eight infantry for armored escort.`

  • Give tanks passive point + 15 for escorting infantry to objective points.`

  • Add tank animations, officer shouldn’t be a whack mole leaving hatch, add machine gun belt animations.`

  • Allow Tanks to communicate with infantry and vice Verca with special map pins designated to each division. Tank can draw arrows or place pin coordinates to communicate their objective and strategy with other tanks and infantry. Infantry can place suggestion with markers or arrows with tanks to suggest supportive maneuvers.

What is the problem of spawning mid air?

How can a plane restrict radio arty calls?

map too small.

Why give this ability to officer, radio operator is much suitable.

The objective of the tank is fire support, not to capture zone.

For what? calling arty?

What is missile mode?

map is too small, unless you want to rush cap zone with tank which is totally unrealistic.

I disagree, spawning runway removing 1 minute timer is much more immersive and fun. Spawning mid air feels cheap.

It could be, GTA 6 San Normandy. Jokes aside having a music doesn’t make the game GTA.

When controlling airspace over objectives for a given amount of time, it seems reasonable that planes can block the area in which arty can be called.

Some maps yes, however there are large maps where it could work. Also, Enlisted needs to overhaul map size in my opinion anyways.

I disagree with this, I feel there is a lot of potential into expanding the usefulness of tanks and planes. I don’t think they should be limited to just a killing machine.

Good point, this does make sense. However I’m worried since radio operator is easily obtainable, it may lead to map spam. So limiting officer to and end game class might yield better communication and less spam.

Ok, how about give you option of spawning mid air and airfield. First minute you can only spawn at airfield.

I actually wouldn mind that. Appeals to both players. I don’t really feel the need to wait a minute. But if others would like to that’s reasonable. But I wouldn’t mind just jumping right in and taking off on runway. Also, adding a runway can bring a repair mechanic into planes.

A good side objective for planes could be (this is in response to your arty restriction) that planes can attack the enemys artillery battery location, killing/disabling the artillery pieces would cause a permanent cooldown for all (time to TBD) until the enemy team can bring in more artillery.

The artillery position should not be marked and require you to actually spot them or wait for muzzle flash.
