I think Germany should be featred a few new weapons or changes for some weapons. The Gewehr 41 (Walther variant) is not currently in Enlisted. The Walther G41 had a different gas system compared to the Mauser G41, but both were used during WWII. Enlisted only features the Mauser G41 variant.
While the MP-40 is in the game, the drum magazine version of the MP-40, which holds more rounds (up to 75), is not present in the game.
The StG 45 (M), a more advanced version of the StG 44, is not included in Enlisted. It had significant improvements, including a more effective firing system, but it wasn’t widely produced in real life.
The MG-34 is available in the game, but the drum magazine variant (which holds 75 rounds for more sustained fire) is not featured.
The G71, an experimental self-loading rifle, the G71 was an early version before the G43. This weapon does not appear in Enlisted
Karabiner 98k. The Kar98k is in the game, but versions equipped with a muzzle brake for reduced recoil are not available.
The Sauer 38H is a semi-automatic pistol used by Germany during WWII, but it is not featured in Enlisted.
About the drum MP40, I found a mention of it here: “So there were 50-round stick and 72-round drum magazines developed around 1941-1942, presumably for the MP.38/40?”
Yeah sorry I didnt know some were premium as i dont have premium account. Yes the MP-38’s and MP-4]s had extended stick mags and drum magazines. Also MG-42s There were drum magazines developed for the MG 42, notably the 75-round drum magazine. These drum mags were not commonly used in large quantities but were available as a backup or in special circumstances, such as for paratroopers or in close combat situations. These drum mags were heavier and could slow down the rate of fire due to their design. There was also the option of linking multiple belt segments together to allow for extended periods of fire without reloading. This is not exactly an “extended magazine,” but it worked similarly for providing a continuous feed. It woild be cool to have it come with like a 500 round belt or something.
Yes but the MG-42 with drum mag would be nice. It had a slower fire rate due to the design as she was a belt fed gun. But id like the slower fire rate comes with more accuracy. Yet id miss the fire rate too
I read that link you sent it was very interesting. I love how it said German’s copied the Soviet’s design. And how the Soviet’s copied their’s. How both side’s felt the other side had a better gun.
Thank you very much for your post, esspecially for the Bundesarchive source (very interesting!).
Regarding the drum for Mg34/42: This device wasn’t a classic drum magazine, but a container for the normal belt. There were no effects on the firing rate.
You can see 72 round drum down there it was made for MP SS 42 SMG and if you just read the link Valkay has sent @Slakrrrrrr mentions that in archives he found mention of drum mag but also some sources claim that 72 round drum is intertangle between MP SS 42 and MP 40
