All these balance decisions will be weird no matter what, one could argue that BAR could also become a infantry weapon, while M2 could move to SMG - in the end it doesn’t really matter.
Well no, not really you are just jumping with your sovjet bias to assumptions.
At no point did he mention anything about superior germans or anything but the fact that germans indeed were the only faction during the war to wield in large numbers assault rifle and attempted to replace SMG’s & KAR’s all together with one gun.
Honestly you can like take this and throw it out the window cause any regular person of enlisted would see that most of enlisted is just balancing every nation any way possible but also giving some slight upgrades along the way so honestly for an idea of giving STG-44 to literally anyone for br5 would of course break the game I mean look at HLL or Squad44 there are still Germans running around with KAR98 and other guns since you know it would be impossible to find players who would play US or Soviets and enjoy that abuse so yeah
Tbh at BR5 you already have every squad full of automatics.
Differency is just that engies / AT’s have FG42. Sure the stg is easier to handle but if I had to choose one and only gun it would be the FG.
At cqc both are just as deadly but when the range increases the FG is by far superior.
Hence if there was only one option between these 2 id take the FG any given day.
Let me get this straight youre telling me the FG42 is more control able then the MF STG44 that has nonexistent recoil to the point it even got a Mf sniper scope I mean if you use the bipod then of course it would but its honestly better in every way then the FG42 hell there was a reason they took it off engineers after the merge
A gun that was produced for about 18 months ? And 450-500k would be rather significant number in wehrmacht numbers by that time.
Yeah, id say its by far more widespread AR than ASS44 soviets just had to get.
Oh yea, lets just disregard the fact that ppsh emptied it mag if you hit the stock to hard surface.
The fact they never really fixed the issues with drums aka interchangeability. As well as the recoil buffer that was often leather or some other substitute and the gun just eventually literally beated itself to death.
But yes it was definitely durable like tank and stg44 broke before ever being even used.
Try again ivan.
for me it is, i lost a gunfight using StG more than when using FG, also controlling the FG 42 is easy enough with maxxed out horizontal recoil perk and some good mouse pulling
