Stug 3 issue

stug 3 was the second-most produced German armored combat vehicle in the war.
yet its absent or paywalled in every german campaign.
Even just from business model perspective, this makes no sense.
human pyschology is weird. We tend to give higher value to the things that are rare eventough they maybe are totally useless.
Like buying diamond engagement rings to your wife while nowing it wont have any physcial effect to relationship or it doesnt prevent possible divorce in future by %100 chance .
A lot of premium player would tend to buy more rare things eventough they are not practical in gameplay.
Stug 3 is polar opposite, both usefull and was very common in real war.
Its also the only chance for early eastern front for germans to deal with kv1 and t34 .
If i was a dev, i would paywall panzer 4 with heatshell but open stug 3.
who does decide those absurdities really ?

my guess why that happened because stug really isn’t as recongizable as say the panther or tiger

My guess instead is stug is out of the campaign grind because dont have MG in most of his version and in an combinend arms game is a huge handicap

So better add panzer wo at least have it

I would prefer to use propelled without mg than getting blown up 72736… times in every match

Tank Destroyer are most useless first like said by gastano cause no coaxial MG but also casue no turret who taking in count the low distance of engagement for vehicles in Enlisted is a big big cons

There´s a version of the Stug mantlet wich has an integrated MG34 so if they wanted they could handwave the details and just put it in. They could put it in Normandy and replace the Panzer IV J for example, the turret rotation is so garbage that they might aswell replace it with a turretless tank.

it can be meaningful, cheaper and easy to deploy

same as other type of vehicles

Otherwise the game would just have a bunch of USELESS or OVERPOWER stuffs forever, not just stug3, but armored vehicles and other things like recon vehicles and aircrafts

Some people think nothing of this suication, but does the amount of junk meh stuffs in game mean that developers’ work can be turned into financial gains at an unusually low rate.

This is disastrous for a commercial project.

Large amounts of purchasable content are advertised as useless by savvy players in the community

This is the equivalent of telling the player not to play and pay for the game

There is an old Chinese saying that describes this situation: 事倍功半 twice the hardwork but gets half the result

USELESS sentencing from the players in community to the content of the game is chronic poison to this project

In the case of premium content, this is the equivalent of telling players not to buy because most things are useless, so called collectibles are not going to get many players to buy them at all, and they are telling new players not to buy these and those things. Not just Stug3, There are 90% of the premium contents are under this situation.

In the case of free prize content, such as an active prize as reconnaissance plane and other useless weapons or items, USELESS sentencing is basically telling the player not to play the event, that there is no way that you would bring your prize with you to a fight anyway.

always thought stug should’ve been one of the first unlocks in moscow and normandy. instead it’s a high tier unlock or premium that’s basically worse than any tank you’ll have by that point. sad. poor stug:((

Why you want to paywall panzer 4 with heat but open stug3? You said player like to buy thing that are rare even though not practical. But panzer4 with heat(panzer 4E) is more practical and more were produced than stug3(stug3A) (200 Panzer 4E VS 30 Stug3 A).

If you compare all stug variants and all pz4 variants, stug absolutely more produced and can penetrate russian tanks. Before tiger 1 , germans had dificulties against russian tanks. They originally planed to mass produce tiger 1 in mid 1943 but they had to rush after stalingrad defeat. Russian mid tanks are clearly superior to germans in game like in real war. Only way to deal with a kv1-2 or t34 for germans (without stug or tiger 1) is flanking but guess what, maps are too small and only allow head on combat.
Only way to deal with them for germans was stukas or 88 mm flak guns

What is the point of comparing all stug variants and all pz4 variants? It is the fact that the short barrel Stug produced less than short barrel Panzer 4.

No, they wernt. Quite opposite actually. And there is so f many reasons why:

1)There is not such thing as armour to thick to penetrate. Every shot at it will damage its structure and endurance. Awentually you will pen it with gun that ,shouldnt" be capeable of doing it.
2) Soviet tanks were shit by design on so many levels (all those flows made them half dangerous of what they could be)
3)Soviet tanks were shit by production (for example poor quality of armour made it rather weak, not only mm matters)
4)Soviet logistic was shit (tank withaut fueal and ammo is useless, crew will abandon it)
5)Soviet tanks were shit so they were often broken (wont be freath when you stuck in column and cant move up to battle front)
6)Soviet repair system was shit (most lightly damged tanks could be fiexd and used again, but not in ZSRR xd. One part of tank stoped working? You probably lost whole tank.)
7) Pz3 with upgraded gun can pen anything at right angle and distance (esspecialy if it is retarded one by production flows). Why you would shoot up front?
8) Soviet army was incompetent. You can easy lost even good equipment if you cant use it in battle.
9) Tanks are part of the system. In it there are also TD-s, heavy artillery, AT artillery, airforce graund support and lots of infantry with granades, mines and AT rifles. If all is well manage bc you can afford f radios and have ,JTAC" squads on the field there is fat chance that you will use all at onece from multiple directions. SYSTEM IS MOST IMPORTANT IN WAR!!! Single wunderwaffe alone dont do shit.
