I have a suggestion regarding tank gameplay in Enlisted, especially concerning the repair mechanics. Currently, tanks like the Tiger II are portrayed as nearly invincible, with only their tracks being susceptible to damage from frontal shots. However, in reality, tanks like the Tiger II were not as reliable, and hits to critical components such as the tracks could incapacitate them.
Therefore, my suggestion is to introduce repair times for tanks based on their tier levels. For example, Tier V tanks like the Tiger II should have longer repair times for critical damage such as track hits, reflecting their complexity and the time required for repairs. On the other hand, Tier IV tanks like the T-34 could have shorter repair times for similar damage due to their simpler construction.
Additionally, considering the various components of tanks that can be damaged (tracks, transmission, gun, horizontal and vertical drive, etc.), implementing repair times based on the specific part damaged would add depth to the gameplay. Players would need to prioritize repairs based on the situation, enhancing strategic decision-making on the battlefield.
Overall, adjusting repair times based on tank tiers and specific damage parts could contribute to a more realistic and immersive tank gameplay experience in Enlisted
I recently had an experience that highlights the need for this adjustment. Commanding my trusty T-34-76, I found myself face to face with the formidable Tiger II. With a combination of skill and luck, I managed to land a precise shot that crippled the Tiger II’s tracks but DIED. When is respawned i saw that tiger repaired shooting HE towards us
