Fun fact: Normandy was an allied invasion. The Germans weren’t on the offensive. Clearly you haven’t figured that out because lately, the Germans are the offensive faction in the majority of the matches. Add an ardennes campaign if you want a western front campaign where Germans get to assault.

The axis attack missions are counter attack, obliviusly german never tried to repeal the invasion they simply press next turn withaut do move

Ah yes when you lose some position you clearly never try to take it back, why should you.
We play in a little scale in this game and there were local counter attacks of the germans in normandy to get defensive positons back, and try to get the allies out of normandy.

there are allies only attack maps, like d-day, ver-su-mer, ruins of vaux and airfield. first 3 are more or less d-day based and are by coast. rest of the maps represent later normandy campaign where germans counter attacked.
fun fact: germans would have to counterATTACK to push the allies back into the sea
