There is a big problem with this games balancing in where the devs apply simple fixes to bigger problems - especially on maps. Every update we see a “map balance patch” that consists of nothing but capture time changes. It is almost like the devs never play these maps, because that is always never the problem. Its usually stuff like spawn point locations or map design etc. My biggest example is the Oasis map - one of the possible first points is inside a building that has a back room, only enterable from the defenders side. This means defenders can pile bots in there and attackers will NEVER win with balanced teams. But the devs don’t want to change the point design - instead they just lower the timer, which does nothing to solve the problem.
Making little changes to the capture times? Super fast and easy, and essentially zero possibility of introducing bugs, while still helping to adjust overall winrates, which is a big part of player satisfaction over time.
Making changes to the actual structure of the map? Requires time from the content design team, and a bunch of testing to make sure it hasn’t made any wall clipping bugs or something of the like, and you need to be careful to not repeat the same sort of mistake, or damage the identity of the map.
Like, yes the sort of adjustments the devs have been doing aren’t perfect, far from even, but they also cost damn near nothing, and can still help improve the overall enjoyment of a map. So, they may as well make them.
Also, from some of what the devs have said regarding grayzone camping, it sounds like more significant map changes are in progress, with adjustments to out of bounds areas and the ability to access certain parts of the maps, so some of the biggest problems may be fixed when those changes roll out.
Gaijin devs not playing their own games is a known issue
Typical gaijin style patch. It seems for instant being fixed, but under the bandaid, the game festers inside and it will eventually explode with accumulated problems.
Keofox is not a dev and he is like one guy remotely affiliated with them, i have seen him in battles and he indeed sits on the IL-2 for most of the game
You lucky bastard.
I would spam BF109 G10 if I see him xD
Or even buy the premium version with 3x30mm.
I doubt that highly, else he would have known of the resupply for planes bug on Moat. Which was fixed after 6 months of reporting it.
