Just another rant topic. Sorry, but I am wondering if other players have the same experience:
Me and my friends loved this game before this stupid merge update. We played almost every day many battles, had pure fun and good balanced teams (in every campaign except Tunesia). Every campaign, soldier and squad had its own unique style and it was just wonderfull. Until the merge came…we tried some battles but this game was absolutely messed up in every aspect. F*ck this stupid tech tree á la War Thunder.
I left the game for around 6 months (hard for a veteran, we LOVED it). Yesterday I gave it another try and made a german Tier V squad. It was hopeless - my team was full of noobs and we got roflstomped every match. No victory, no chance against all those tryhards. It was pain to play and not fun.
I decided to skip to Tier III - even when I missed my StGs and FGs. It was pure mess! I played 8 matches - I quit 4 of them because I had to fight Tier V tryhards AGAIN and lost the other 4 because of stupid, bad, lazy and unbalanced teams all in favour for US/USSR/GB. I had enough but made a last try and created a decend Tier II squad. What shall I say - what a f’cking mess.
I played two battles (ofc we lost both of them as germans). My team was/is always inferior and we absolutely had no chance to defend against USSR or attack vs US/GB. Is the german playerbase dead??? GG developers!
I guess the fun days are totally gone. Another stupid thing is that I ordered many gold weapons (before the merge) which now are totally useless. MkB 42 (W) is Tier V and far inferior to the StG44, which is Tier V too. The gold weapons are absolutely useless and not worth buying anymore, while they where a nice extra before the merge and without this stupid BR-bulls*it.
I guess I quit definitive.
Before ppl say “LeARn tO pLaY” → those battles and the evolution of this game is pure pain (as german main ofc).
At least for the next month, the world will be dominated by the Allies.
Until the United States gets tired of T20 rifles

I would recommend you to become a member of the Allied Forces (or team up so you can lose with more dignity :D)
The merge had to happen to progress the game … adding campaigns was splitting the playerbase more and more and then you were getting campaigns that were more and more bot lobbies then anything.
Now the BR system is good in theory poor in practice … with the latest update it is better, but there are still issues with it of course.
You seem to play german main … you came right after the US got their T20 rifle and there is a bunch of hype around it … as a veteran player of any time, you know that hype means that the playerbase shifts to that side to play with the new toy. Moving to BR III is insufficient to get away from this as BR III can get into BR V lobbies.
BR II Germany at the moment seems to debend on time you play and server, for me it has been solid matches the past week.
While the merge and BR I think were good decisions … I do think we need definite tweaks to the BR system, I get that many really liked the campaign system before the merge. Unfortunately, for the better and future of the campaign, it was holding it back.
I originally wrote a bunch of things to mock players who only use one mid-level or high-level equipment to wait for death while poisoning their teammates.
But those words really don’t sound nice.
So put it another way
The best thing about this game is that it has a garbage rating system
The official originally adopted a weapon level system in order to avoid using point ratings, which would lead to extreme teams appearing in low-level environments.
But the weapon level system just reverses the results and poisons the high-level environment
We need to differentiate between ranked mode and casual to separate high-intensity players from casual players
Instead of letting high-intensity players be angered by casual players to high blood pressure
At the same time, casual players can gain a sense of spiritual superiority outside of custom modes.

There is no difference between entering level 3 with only one level 2 weapon and entering level 5 with only one level 3 weapon.
The most critical number of new equipment has not been resolved
So I prefer the previous 2-room system
I enjoy using the complete set of level 3 gear against all levels
Players without the skills and knowledge should learn how to fight and stay where it suits them until everything is ready

It’s not that the equipment is not neat and you want to come up and get beaten.

Whose problem is it that someone wants to come looking for death if they don’t have enough skills or equipment?
One single day? Funny - I seached a little bit and found many other people with the same “this-game-is-unplayable-as-german” problem. There seems to be many more topics. But yes, ofc the german mains are gone for only one day… 12/10 game, lmao
The merge is the most shitty thing that could happen.
I just played another six battles. Lost every single one. Is this really the point?
People are playing Soviet Union because of new map (Rzhev) and USA - because of new weapon (T-20 rifle). After few days situation should go back to normal.
Japan is suffering even more than Germany, and no one is crying.
