the Sturmgewehr 45 (H) assault rifle prototype, developed by the Haenel company at the end of World War II for the German armed forces. It was a simplified version of the Sturmgewehr 44 (StG 44), designed to reduce costs and production time while maintaining mechanical similarity to the previous model.
The STG 45 (H) was developed by Hugo Schmeisser as a simplified version of the STG 44, aiming to reduce complexity and production costs.
The prototype utilized a gas-operated system with a locked tilting bolt, similar to that of the MP44, and fired the 7.92Ă—33mm Kurz cartridge.
The STG 45 (H) was designed to be easier and faster to produce than the STG 44, with fewer parts and simpler manufacturing processes.
The STG 45 (H) remained a prototype and did not enter mass production. A single example survived the war and was taken to the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in the United States.
Rate of fire per minute:500-550
I’m an advocate that the MKb 42 (H) should go to BR4 but there are many people who disagree because it’s an assault rifle in TT, MKb.42 (M) is in BRIV with 720 and rate of fire per minute So I think the STG 45 (H) should be BRIV along with the STG 45 (M)
We already have the premium STG 45 (M) BR IV for mauser. So for Haenel now, i would say another Sturmgewehr another joy.
I agree, if STG45 (M) is BR IV but not many people have it since it’s premium and they have to sell this squad too, right? Well then MkB 42 (H), MkB 42(W), Horn STG and this STG45 (H) should also be in game and put in BR IV also because of the 450-500 fire rate.
But perhaps that would make BR III (if uptiered) would face too many assault rifles so i believe if they will add another BR in form of numbers like in War Thunder ex. 5.3, 5.7, 6.0 that way it will be easier to sort the weapons.
Since the merge happened they sorted the weapons just roughly into BR I-V so that people with bolt action rifles would not face overpowered assault rifles as a result, even though it could be like that in real war but playing on the side of people with less effective weapons (losing) would not be fun for them indeed.
In the conclusion we might have to wait for greater and extended BR ranges to better fit all the weaponry accordingly.
Stretching all the weapons, prototypes, blueprints of WW2 into only 5 BRs is very rough and i don’t think all the weapons that are in one same BR act as “same” as their counterparts/cousins. It’s not overcomplicated at all, it is better system to differentiate.
Edit: If one day, Enlisted will decide to go beyong WW2 there must be more and more BRs, so in the end it will be same as WT.
SMG = pistol cartridge
AR = intermidiete cartridge
So AR have longer range and more damage so it better suited for all-round conflict, with exception of long ranges, either switch to semi-auto (if avaible) or then would prefer bolt-action.
Edit: Most of the combat happened in 200 meters +/- range.
