Stg 44/ Mkb42/ MP 43 problematic reload

These guns all have reload animations that dont make sense, the character rips out the magazine and never uses the magazine release button which would be this button here:
stg

This problem is even worse on the MP 43 where your character just hits the magazine out of the magwell. This is however impossible in real life:

Same problem here on the Mkb 42:

The blessings of playing with low FOV i guess

make a report on the bug tracker, would get the developer attention faster

I agree with it cuz looks silly a bit or dumb but the browning Hi-power i love it if mag is empty the slide stays in the rear position like it does and when the new mag is in he pulls down the slide-releaser i hope call it right cuz i know it in hungarian language there im use it all the day for my cz p09:) but by the browning its just amazing to see it. And i hope they do it by all weapons.

The other thing what whould be nice is if they adding weapon failures so that can be maybe annoying and cost a life or two maybe whole sqad but nobody can spamming browning LMG or mg42 or maxim tokarevs, cönders etc…

Thanks, i reported it just now.

Oh maybe the STG has both side a butten idk some weapons has it both side and if he release it with the other hands pointer finger u dont see it and i use it that way on CZ bren2 its quicker too or comfortable too.
I know between the weapons are ages but it can be germans did so, i hope i will shoot with an SGT24 its on my list…

I checked it stg dont has it other side

I suggest that both STG44 and MKB42H adopt the shooting angle and method of MP43, that is, holding the rear grip with the right hand and the magazine well with the left hand. As far as I know, the STG44 metal handguard area is evenly distributed with circular heat dissipation holes. Directly grabbing the metal handguard for shooting will only burn oneself.

No. It only has the mag release on the left side. i know, i handled an STG before. You supposed to press the mag release with your left thumb while holding the magazine, same as on the mp40.

I know and hope they fix it and that by all weapons doing rightly the animation…

I think in that age they didnt build the release button on both side…

Those ridiculous “punch the magazine out” animations also plague fg42II and avt40.

Been said numerous times already, but devs, as usual, don’t care.

Well kicking out mags does look cool to be fair, but realistically speaking this can only ever be done with guns that have a magazine lever.

Out of my head this would count mostly for AK style weapons - maybe some older HK guns like G3, but button release guns simply have the wrong animation.

Doesn’t FG actually have a release lever tho? I think for FG this animation is possible or?

It might look “cool” for young teens perhaps…

But in a ww2 shooter claiming to be realistic, I personally find it really “cringe”…

To a point I ignored mp43 entirely. Even when it was the top AR in Berlin for axis… I am truly glad stg44 does not suffer from that cringe “tacticool” (and simply impossible) reloading animation, even if it’s not perfect as @Gopnik_plays pointed out.

why would anybody be making ambidextrous rifles back in the 1940s

Many reloading animation need repair by DF

I spend so much time being pissed and cussing at my worthless bots that I don’t ever notice the animations of changing mags ect.

I especially hate how the mannlicher 1895 rifle is able to individually load bullets despite using an en-bloc clip. The m93 mannlicher is done correctly

The M91/30 with scope reloads with clip now when you get to the last bullet with a default animation and somtimes the scope will disappear.
