Been predicting a massive overhaul of the progression since 2 years ago.
A lot of hate from “historical accuracy” players (I’m sorry to me it’s funny seeing bots run into walls and do 360 noscopes while standing up and this somehow resembles “historical accuracy”).
Step 1: They’re going to make the progression faction-based
Step 2: They’re going to make it so that you can play USSR + USA + Brits on Allies side vs Axis side (Italy, Germany, Japan).
I’m just saying it how it’s going to go, that’s my prediction. Perhaps they’ll have a Historical mode (like in War Thunder) with long que times.
In the end, devs will cater to $$$, not the few who want the outmost historical accuracy in a game (and to be fair there’s already way better games out there which only strive for history).
What’s sad is that people with no appreciation for a setting are never able to comprehend that for other people it’s about the tone and respect towards the setting.
Most people are using this as synonymous for immersive. Authentic weapons, authentic equipment, authentic uniform, authentic vehicles, and authentic maps within the specified setting. Most people’s issues is that some weapons did not even exist at the point of the battle, yet are implemented.
Aside from that, literally no one (historical crowd and the people who do not care) think the AI being shit is a good thing.
