Stalingrad really needs improvements in its environment

As I mentioned in a post not long ago, the enlisted city of Stalingrad is well recreated, but it lacks a lot of atmosphere in its surroundings. Unlike the Berlin map (which for me has the best atmosphere of WW2 with huge smoke screens around it, war cries, etc.) Stalingrad feels too clean, as if the battle had already happened, I leave a comparison :

Stalingrad:

Berlin:

As you can see, the atmosphere of the battle of Berlin from enlisted is much better than that of Stalingrad, for some reason, Stalingrad looks too clean with its beautiful autumn sun radiating throughout the city as if it were a tourist site and a nice walk through a ghost town instead of the most violent and brutal battlefield in human history. In real life, the tourist site that Enlisted presents to us actually looked like this:

Stalingrad was a city bombed mercilessly by both armies, both artillery and airplane bombs devastated the entire city day by day, considering that it is most likely that the enlisted campaign will be based on the end of September and the beginning of the Soviet counteroffensive. . , the map should have a setting equal to or even better than Berlin, a much gloomier setting than what is currently seen.

I would really like to see this environmental improvement implemented in Stalingrad, it would give a plus and a better feeling when fighting on this map.

Also more houses and rubble. The housing blocks have huge open areas while in real life the city was more cramped

True, IRL the city was an absolute hell for the vehicles, but unfortunately in the game, compounded by vehicles’ inability to traverse any surface that is not a fine asphalt, map designers decided to clean up the streets instead.

What you also have to take into account is the fact that the more objects that you put into the map the worse the performance of the map becomes server side. The game engine has to keep track of everything in the world space the whole time that match is running. Players, environment, vehicles, the small damage the game allows over the course of the battle to the environment. Easily said solution is to just update the engine, hard solution is to update the engine with a game that is live. And I don’t think Gaijin is the kind of company that will allow one of their games to be down for more than a few hours to implement a full game engine update.

I can see that they would go back and recreate some maps to look more akin to what they were during the fighting, but not until way down the road. They have other glaring issues that they need to address first, even though they really like to put out graphical updates everyday
