Stalingrad confrontation issue

Last night i played a confrontation match on Stalingrad with some friends. The game lasted ~45 minutes and most of the time it was a tug of war between the same 2 cap points. While i do love a long hard battle where the teams are evenly matched, i can’t shake the feeling that the game mode made it worse somehow.
What i noticed was that it wasn’t a case of a team not being able to capture a point, more like it didn’t have time to capture it. So we’d capture a point, fight our way to the next one, by the time we’d reach it, it would be 50% captured by the enemy who’d dug in and made reinforcements from the previous time we were there. Meanwhile, if your team got killed, by the time you got back to the cap point it was already lost.
The same thing applied to the enemy also when the point moved back a position favoring us.

I’m not sure how this issue could be fixed, maybe a longer locked time or a longer cap time to allow the enemy team to actually do something once they reach the objective

Confrontation maps are shit in big map.
The worst ones are in tunisia.

In little maps it’s actually pretty fun.

True, but the grey zone didn’t help either. The only place i could make a rally point to help with the next cap point was out in the open where it would be picked off by snipers, tanks, arty and bombers. So what i ended up doing was to spawn with an engy squad, send them to hold the current cap zone and get killed, hide by the edge of the greyzone while we captured the point and when the greyzone moved, sneak to a building closer to the next cap zone and make a rally point. All this without shooting so i wouldn’t give my position away.

I hated Tunisia’s confrontation map the most with the caves and stuff alongside Werbig Station while the map I enjoyed the most is Koenigsplatz because it can be a real tug of war experience especially the Moltke Bridge with tank duels from opposite sides of the river without worrying about attackers not taking the cap because both teams have to take the cap.

I feel like Stalingrad deserve confrontation maps where both teams have to attack instead of just camping on another building that’s not the cap itself.

The same thing happens there as well… you take the bridge and by the time you fight your way to reach the second cap zone it’s already 50% captured. I usually flank right after the bridge and make a rally point near the back entrance to the yard, still doesn’t help, one or two squads get to spawn from that point and the cap point is lost

In the case of this match, nobody has taken the bridge for a huge chunk of the battle because both sides are fighting for the bridge but none of the team capped for a long time + the enemy team kept doing kamikazes especially against our tanks. It ended with tickets down to zero.

Another case was in Tunisia where it took me over 40 minutes because of the constant capping and recapping until finally the enemy broken down at managed to cap without letting them recap because they ran out of tickets. This was also where my longest confrontation match took place as the other maps were either one side stomp or just ended below 30 minutes.

So… i don’t get it… do you agree with the issue i mentioned or not? i can’t tell

Yes confrontation matches can go insanely long. Maybe it should be a bit faster if capping doesn’t reward tickets at all and just give more tickets for both sides to balance things out as the bonus thing does make such matches even longer especially when none of the teams get the upper hand at the middle cap.

Well how about this for an ideea, instead of having cap points back and forth where a team can camp and deny access for the enemy team and capture that point with little effort, how about we have cap points left and right so both teams have to charge the same objective at the same time

Confrontation is aids. Worst mode in the game
