Stalingrad campaign levels (but actually good)

Can’t agree more! Impressive.

NO
why not to give it RS-132? 100kg bombs (moscow Pe-3) are just useless

Used to have those. Got removed for… reasons.

anyway, 100kg are useless

Sure, why not. I just think that the Pe-3 is a way better counterpart of the Potez 633 than the A-20G-25 when it comes to the armament (both offensive and defensive).

Did mp41(r) have a drum magazine?

No, it was chambered for the 9mm Parabellum and used MP 40 magazines. I included it here because I wanted to make asymmetrical balance - give Soviets the best SMG and Germans an actual assault rifle.

If the devs make the mkb a perfect rifle like the mp43

I think putting mp41(r) in place of ppsh would be a good solution.

Well, considering that they are actually listening and limited the battle/assault rifles to Engineers and Assaulters, they might as well buff it now.

I think so, too.

So, this happened: Important changes in Stalingrad
Two main positive changes here are making the PPSh-41 level free and limiting the battle/assault rifles to assaulters and engineers.
The third thing it changes for better is that there won’t be two paid levels in a row. This is a big thing for f2p players.
But I still have two issues with this progression; one big, and the other - a bit smaller.

1.

First issue is this:

We’ll still see squads consisting of 6 engineers armed with full auto weapons and practically unlimited ammo.

The simplest (and I think the best) solution would be to take those two engineer slots from the squad upgrade tab, so that the maximum would be 4, not 6 engineers (more less like every other squad). Or maybe even to make its squad progression the same as that of the AT squad - 3 soldiers of the squad specialization and 3 other specialist (or 6 troopers).

2.

Second issue is that I don’t quite see the AVT-40 - a battle rifle, as an assaulter weapon.

And here’s my solution to that issue, and my new “ideal” version of the progression:

Again, here’s the key:

  • Blue - changed weapon/vehicle/squad (moved from another level)
  • Green - new weapon/vehicle

And here are changes, starting with the least important ones:

  • The blue blank in the level 25 shows that this level now doesn’t unlock any squad.
  • One of the developers told me that the MP 41(r) wasn’t issued until 1944, so it won’t be in this campaign. So we’re back with the PPSh-41 for Axis. I’ve changed its name for MP 717(r), as it should be for Germans. That’s a purely cosmetic change, so its name stayed white.
  • Now the important stuff: I’ve switched places of the levels 15 and 17 and added Engineers II to the SVT-40/ZH-29 level. That is to make the level 25 squad-free, and that allows me to do one thing:
  • Make the AVT-40 an engineer-only weapon and the MKb 42(H) an assaulter-only weapon. Just like level 5 in Normandy - Germany gets the FNAB-43 (an assaulter weapon), and the US gets the M1 Carbine (“general issue” weapon).

You happy?

Johnson M1941

A worthy replacement for your trusty M1 Garand. Less recoil with a larger magazine capacity.

ZH-29

A Czechoslovak semi-automatic rifle with ten rounds in the magazine. High damage but at the cost of high recoil.

You happy?!

ZH-29 is the shit. I love my Gewer 41s…but replaced all of them with this no question

I know it’s better, probably for the fact of having a removable magazine alone, but it really annoys me. I mean, imagine Italians using the Breda PG as their main weapon in Tunisia or Soviets running around with the Sudayev AS-44 in Berlin.

nah Im with you. Id prefer nation specific weapons even if they weren’t technically fielded at that battle.

I just love the Zh-29 :stuck_out_tongue:
