Stalingrad Bolt Damage should be across All Campaigns

Clearly an unpopular opinion, but no way should this be done.

  1. Stalingrad is extremely lame because the weapon changes encourage long range camping. Keep that shit there.

  2. Stalingrad stock weapons are too good. What’s the point of upgrading and getting more weapons if you get point-click-kill unupgraded at level 1?

  3. Most of the maps in other campaigns are not designed for op bolts. Any map with decent open spaces (moscow, normandy, tunisia) would turn into pretty much an absolute slaughter for anyone trying to move, resulting in even more 1.

  4. The accuracy of rifles and ease of aiming is by an incredible margin too good for the lethality. You wanna have death rays? OK, lets make it mandatory to hold breath and a moment to steady aim for a bit or otherwise you should get major dispersion and inaccuracy just like in real life. Especially if you are standing and or moving.

I would be fine for increasing the long-medium range lethality with rifles slightly, but only for fully upgraded guns.

It won’t. Ppsh and avt/mkb are still needed for competitive gameplay. But you’ll still be able to have fun without using cancer shit.

Definitly better than SMG and Sf spam.
Since peope also complain about auto spam there it aint that bad.

And thats bad cause?
Anyway yeah. You cant do shit with the Mkb or PPSh.

Yeah. Who could have guessed that unfun maps with 100m battle zone are favoring smgs?

In return for bolt action, low mag size and bad CQC ability?
Seems more balanced than the PPSh.

I don’t think that cqb spam is worse than longrange camping. Dying from a random camper is more annoying than dying in cqb.

Technically, they are also favoring gayzone camping.

Usually for tanks and mortars. I dont see the masses of inf in greyzones unless they have a hammer. Mostly cause its just not rewarding.
The AI is also somehow better at countering snipers than plebs standing in front of them.

Well. I see more people complaining about SMGs than about “campers”. Mostly because CQC spam gives more shekels than camping with BA rifles.

Because all guns aren’t very useful from that range. But stalingrad is a camperfest already, and even while they don’t make a real impact, campers still make you less wanting to play shekelgrad.

It’s not about shekels mah goi.

Some things are being toxic even without being OP or really effective.

Because the maps allow for it with the points being either in massive open spaces or the enemy has to travel across a massive open space
It incentivizes plinking, why would you engage them in a straight up fight with both of you without cover when you can fire from a building or rubble on the flank or what not

No other campaign has such dogshit maps
Its the entire reason I stopped playing Stalingrad honestly

Only D-Day and Ver Sur Mer beach point actually mega dogshit like that
The rest are fine
Even Airfield

Stalingrad is its own vein of ass to play

I think Stalingrad really hammered home the usage of Smoke (which is even more effective because smoke grenades start working right away now).

Tunisia experience helped solidify tactics to cross large open lanes of incoming fire.
Whenever I’m in Stalingrad, much the same is true.

Smoke the murder holes, and then get yourself a rally set out of the main line of fire to allow your future spawns to move and advance.

It is also a favorite of mine because of thr diversity in my playstyle even more, by having Bolt equipped squads for the sole purpose of holding of Assault squads etc.

The most retarded change to the game in the most horrible campaign, making grinding obsolete and 180 degrees noscope bots OP. Sincerely hope it will be never ever introduced in other campaigns.

You must have not played stalingrad long enough, people still can’t resist the urge to absolutely spam automatic weapons on absolutely everyone they have. This change will never stop that, it just gives new players and bolt actions lovers a chance to fight those people.

How you can say no to spam, wen your small ppsh on the shoulder keep ask to be spammed

Wholeheartedly agree with OP. Can it lead to more camping? Yeah, it’s always possible. Will it give new players a bit more power? Also true. Would I personally like to kill people instead of getting white hitmarks or constant knock outs? Damn yeah

i support it since it makes Bolt actions a high risk high reward

No. Passive, slow gameplay. If i want that, I would play HLL or some other crawl and camp simulator.

And thats bad cause?

Mkb and ppsh you at least have to unlock. The other part is called progression. Stock weapons should be adequate, not great.

Dude, what’s the problem with you? I specifically mention long range maps getting fucked up by the change. It’s already hard enough to move in some of the maps without getting shot long range.

In return for bolt action, low mag size and bad CQC ability?

If you’re so traumatized by PPSh, stay in stalingrad. One shot rifles are not even bad in CQC - they don’t even have to have better reaction speed as you can absorb 1-2 smg bullets and still kill the assaulter.

I’ve maxed both sides of the campaign. And it is the slowest paced, most wanker-camper infested campaign so far. It’s hard enough to have people who play to cap points and win and Stalingrad is 3x worse. I’m fine to have a sandbox for the Zaitsev vs. König sniperophiles and prone-in-rubble-bolt-action enthusiasts if this keeps them from the other campaigns.

I also don’t have problem fighting with bolts in other campaigns. Like I said, fully upgraded rifles, small long-medium range lethality increase would be OK. Stalingrad is just too much.

As everyone else has said, it’s the map that encourages camping. Besides when sniping from a distance it isn’t always an insta kill.

If you want fast gameplay you can also play Call of Duty.

The game pace was actually slower back in old (closed) beta days. Not only because of maps but also of game mechanics.
The game now is too fast and makes numeros stuff like shovels or fortifications pointless. Also made the game way less tactical.

Yet rifles suck in CQC where you need SMGs. If your SMG squad gets constantly beaten by a M1938 dude you have a problem.

The point is it depends on maps and most maps have short battle distances. In Brokemandy its D-Day and Ver-Sur but the rest are so small, full of covers etc. that its pointless using rifles there unless you can. There is no point sniping if the spawns are Max. 100m away from the cps.

They still work fine in SG. The Mkb and AVT are better though.

Not like SMGs have faster rof which counters their “low” dmg and ADS which makes both even in terms of reaction time.
Dunno how its possible getting constantly beaten by rifles aa SMG user in CQC but it would happen elsewhere too ecxept that you would probably just get downed more.
It doesnt care how much dmg they make on CQC. You would still suck against the rifle if you have so much trouble playing against them even in CQC. You would just get less downed.

Step 1: Drink Самогон (samagon).
Step 2 (very important): Attach bayonet to bolt action rifle.
Step 3: Enter Cap point.
Step 4: Stabby-stab-stab.
Step 5: Hero of Soviet Union. Ride White Horse in Victory Parade. Great Success.
Step 6: Quietly retire to dacha in countryside.
Step 7: Avoid politics (at least until Boss dies of “natural causes.”)

Note: For Enlisted, I really think only Steps 1-4 are necessary.
