Squads mode can’t fit the needs of growing player community(it will be even worse after published in steam). Currently, Enlistd only has around 8k ACU, and it is an undeniable fact that players are losing motivation to continue playing it.
Simply put, most players find it difficult to have enough fun from Enlisted. The imbalance between weapons and players are just small factor. BR updates hardly improve the experience of veteran players. New players may also feel tired and bored within a few months after they reach the top tier.
This game need PVE mode or PVP(VE) mode with bigger battlefield to expand gameplay.
For example, PVE mode can please PVE players(They are more than you imagine)/low level players or those who just don’t want to endless tryhard.https://forum.enlisted.net/t/we-need-pve-mode/109293
Stop persuading people who are not satisfied with squads mode to play custom mode. Custom games with limited rewards(no rewards for mod missions) are actually not attractive to most players. Customizable content in custom games is also very limited, they are still under the rules of squads mode and lone wolf mode.
Operate a F2P GaaS game, you should attracting and satisfying more potential customers as possible, not alienating them!
Darkflow, if you cannot bring players enough fun, most players won’t keep sweaty grinding in squads mode, they will just quit this game.
I disagree.
I think the AI definitely needs more work.
I think balancing of weapons needs some major adjustment.
I think the game mechanics especially in regards to defense need major help.
HOWEVER, I do NOT think that trying to turn the game into another CoD wannabe is a good route.
I’m not talking about TDM. Isn’t CO-OP mission and WT enduring confrontation mode are both good supplements to current gameplay?
This game ( whit more people playing it) need 100 vs 100 lone wolf
And Gaijin’s hamster-powered servers will most likely crash before everyone loads in.
Fun fact : playerbase is not growing. It has been stagnant for a while
Bot numbers are growing for sure.
Actually new players are entering this game everyday, most people have given up in hours. Monotonous gamemode wasting game’s potential. New players lack the motivation to continue trying after suffering setbacks. There is also no relatively casual gamemode to relieve stress.
Overall I think the squad mode is the feature of this game.
At the same time the PVE mode does not conflict with the squad mode itself, I think it is possible to have some kind of PVE based on the squad mode
And I agree with the bigger battlegrounds point, I am a supporter of this, like many players
Definitely more interesting options for the players would be the way to go
but also more control to the players
for example, if I just want to play one mode, let me play that mode, let me select what things I queue into, maps, modes etc…
The excuse that there isn’t enough players has no grounding
most matches end up populated by mostly bots anyway
which tells you a very clear thing, players want easy matches killing bots
and this new br system is only moving further away from what people want to experience, so the quitting culture will intensify
and then people will be left scratching their heads
when all they had to do was add a rifle and infantry only mode
and if they want to really push a br mode as they are doing, fine, but do it as a side option, not as the only way to play the game now
I played this game knowing one fact, that all the wonderful toys of ww2 would be available for the battlefield
so for a dev to now limit gear on battlefields with no choice, that’s not why I play this game
If I wanted to only play a game in br only, then I would play something else
and if this game wants to provide that as an extra, ok, but not if it destroys the current system
squads mode is fine
just like others said
the bots need to be better programmed to behave like soldiers and not like idiots, we would need larger objectives and fixing some the poorly implemented changes that made things worse, such as the stupid mortar nerf, and the stupid barb wire nerfs and the stupid rally placement difficulties that were added as features I still remember when we could actually place rallies properly in this game on any terrain angle
definitely the more successful games know how to cater to the wider playerbase and not limit it more and more
that is always a bad sign and downhill direction for a game, especially making things worse instead of better
