Imo the idea of the limit is good. I just don’t like the “except premium” part as it smells a bit p2w.
I’d preffer to be allowed to take squads of the same type but not be able to spawn more than 2 one after another.
This would be more fair and would add some diversity.
(Though it would also increase the value of squad slots even more)

Yep Soviet and Allies bias, assaulter/paratrooper spam for entirety of the match, while Axis can only have advantage in tanks but not infantry so 2x Tiger + 1x Jagdpanther.
They should at least let every Axis engineer to carry mkb42(h) that way they could somewhat counter as-44, fedorov, ppsh-41, avt-40 spam but if they go back to only fg42 II i see no point in playing as Germany unless you like to play vehicles 24/7.
Flamethrowers are also pretty p2w so agree about that however most maps have a lot of open spaces so you won’t be able to spam them unless you play on some maps so they are way more situational than 3x assaulters that have no counter.
Tell this to my 4 italian flametroopers all equipped with G43k.
They lack the ammo compared to assaulters/engineers and if you roll more open map with no cover then you will die before you manage to get to the point. They would be op in Normandy and Moscow but near worthless in Berlin and mid in Tunisia.
It seems that you have been cheated. Even if you bring a fourth fire flamers squads, it doesn’t make any sense. You will only use three.This will only benefit the players who bought the advanced squad, because it becomes their privilege, P2W.

I believe that every player is free to play as they prefer. The developers just have to think about filling the lobbies with players of the same tier armament, then the players will decide how to play.
Totally illogical and half-hearted change at best. Here we have a classic case where the constitution remains the same but justice is meted out on a selective basis. Still I am glad that they did not get extremely prohibitive by limiting 1 squad type to only 1 spawn each.

Forced gameplay diversity will not even create real diversity.
Instead of having 3 assaulters, people will use 2 assaulters and 1 flamer, or trooper squad with auto guns to fill the same roll.
The lack of ability to bring 3 tanks will 100% increase suicide plane runs - I would do the same, it revenge kills the enemy tank quickly and lets me play my initial role again fast.
I have 3 sniper squads in Normany at the moment, not being able to bring all 3 will make me never pick snipers at all, because it will interrupt me in my role.
The fact that the devs don’t even fix this "apparent spam problem by allowing premiums to still work as before is completely outrageous.
