Squad leveling grind NEEDS reducing!

Having more than one version of a squad allows a player to tailor his team to his play style.

For example, those using 3 assaulters squads in rotation.

The 4th, however… I don’t see any use for it, as you already only need 3 of the same squad if you wish to only use that type…

On the other hand… Imagine having 3 flamethrowers squads, or 3 arty ones… We clearly don’t wanna see such players…

I see your point but if it’s annoying to grind and takes 346K xp is that really an incentive when it might get outdated when the next tier gets released? For me. Nope. I’ll just skip it if I’m not likely to use it at endgame.

Here…
We go into yet another… interesting bit of discussion:
Maybe you disagree with the idea that Moscow should have early assault rifles unlockable (not even premium - these can be excused)?
So in this case, I disagree to grind the squad 4… with starting weapons (the MKbs). And refuse to buy more of them, as they, in my opinion and worldview - don’t belong here.
I might consider transfering them to later campaigns, though.

2 to 3 assault squads.
mando-way-mandalorian
100% right there.

I was honestly surprised when I came back and saw assaulter IVs.

I agree as well. I doubt they will create 3 flame throwers squads and I hope not lol + it would lead back to your point you would be missing out on diversifying your squads. It’s already at the end of the campaign so just let people enjoy what they grinded to get is what I’m saying.

I don’t think that that is why they put the XP so high so you can’t use 4 of them.

Mkb weapon in hand is worst than the kiraly for assaulter gun
not because is weak but because kiraly do

  • 7.2 of damage
  • have a bigger mag
  • high rof

Mkb do only 0.8 more damage than kiraly wo is not a game change

Mkb is good as full auto carabine for enginer like m2 carabine is in normandy

Remind me, is Kiraly premium weapon? Or at least buyable for golden orders?

Free

Full access in stalingrad but can be imported from moscow in stalingrad and used here as well

If you dont like the german ppsh41

Then the devs have failed in a few places.

Kiraly is an hungarian weapon used by german as well, is more suited to be in all campaigns than mkb

Yes but some squad actually need stay with high xp grind because of their weapons

Fg42 or fedorov for example

Whale are whale the buy everything producer trow at them, let them get milked

All live service act like this because they need constantly money for stay alive, i cant say nothing aganaist this because “dev need eat” if the game have low introits is the developer team wo get the consequence

I can offend them because are “sovietlover” with their double standard

But i cant attack them on monetization in fact if you play another live service game is the same

That’s campaign xp not squad xp. Small difference between a level 1 gun and a level 5 gun

I disagree nobody deserves to get “milked” to get basic functionality back for essentially a duplicate squad. Plus the whole player base should suffer because there are whales? I disagree there too.

Not all live service games are scumbags. Look at League of Legends or Warframe those are long running highly successful games on a FTP model who do raising money the right way. By saying this is acceptable you are encouraging more of this in future updates. They should focus on retaining more new + Veteran players as this game needs a lot of players because of the way it has split the player base into so many campaigns.

Plus I and many other people here already have paid for years of membership + battle-pass + buy the occasional premium squad. That in my mind should be their main source of income not this sort of B.S with the squad xp.

Let someone grind squad xp and unlock fg42 upgrade in a day, dont seems to me a way to valorize this gun

I disagree at your disagree if someone agree to be milked its fine let him do this, in the end is our choice waste money or not, no one come and point q gun on our head for let use buy a premium squad or a perk

You pointed game wo need constantly their user pay money for keep stay competitive

I say this another time

Your choice

  • buy premium
  • buy perk
  • waste money
  • grind T2
    Ecc…

You can ask for a better microtransaction no one can say otherwise but there is more than lower grind or lower price, more we probably dont know

I asked you if you think this is fine you say - No but then you say all this crap to try to justify microtransactions… wtf? Do you enjoy microtransactions?

Like OK we can have separate opinions here but I stand by my point and I don’t think this is good for the community and the game.

This is factually incorrect. Warframe is not a competitive game. It basically has no PVP it’s PVE focused. League you can basically only buy skins and cosmetics. If you for some reason don’t have the IP (non premium currency to buy lets say a brand new champ) You can buy it with a skin on day of release and it comes fully unlocked no limitations or B.S. I have played both games for years.

Games too full of microtransactions generally have limited lifespans and get massive backlash look at when EA tried to tie progression in Starwars Battlefront II to lootboxes they got vilified, roasted and the game banned in certain countries because it violates gambling laws. In the end they had to re make their entire progression system!

Games are first and foremost supposed to be fun. Not predatory spaces designed to bleed you or worse children of money unfairly and they don’t need to be.

My 2 cents about premiums:
I am okay letting premiums have it easier - they have the money needed for the devs, they deserve to have an easier time and thus a slight advantage over other players.
I am a free-to-play user, not going to use money, I prefer to earn my goodies through hard work and time. An occasional gold order reward from a crate once a 100th battlepass/event reward is an acceptable way to… “even the odds”, though they sort of are already even, since as a f2p player, I get more real experience, to compensate the lack for shinyier gear.
Besides, fully upgraded starter/early weapons is more new player friendly, so I wouldn’t be that… annoying to them, so I’d think twice before bringing in even a golden order weapon to battle as well. It’s a proof of professionalism, in a way.

I respect that and in past posts I’ve said we need to take better care of our F2P players because their xp gain is so slow.

Paying players need people to play against and also free to play players sometimes become paying players. (My advice just get Premium time when it’s on 75% discount for a year and you will grind soo much faster plus PTFO. You have seen my xp numbers from my past post. Premium squads are not necessary at all and usually overpriced/underpower compared to campaign unlocks.

Getting this amount of xp to rank up a T3 squad how long would it take a F2P player?

They should be evened out a lot more, at the very least. The way they are currently, the first few levels can happen in a single game, but the late upgrades can take 100s. Each level also don’t feel meaningful enough when they keep adding linear upgrades, you’re not unlocking options, you’re just waiting for the final 5 levels or so.

Too long, if one’s attention is scattered across several campaigns.
Maybe, grind could be shortened if the player plays with fully grinded squads (where I assume excess exp is moved to the campaign exp, but this needs confirmation).
So far, in Moscow campaign, I managed to reach level 26, playing since, I think… 2021-beginnings? Maybe earlier. With lengthy breaks - not playing during summers, or for whole months - and otherwise dedicating a day or 2 a week of more intense playing session.

I guess it would be better if more squad unlocks would be put as earlier unlocks in the campaign tree (or, rather a line), leaving specific weapon unlocks for later (but a tree option here would be better, letting players choose which weapon they want to unlock next).
But otherwise, the campaign system needs a rework - it’s a bit silly to grind for a weapon/squad/other features when you’ve been doing this for a while now in a different campaign.

This is the most annoying thing to grind and you have to be very lucky with the boosters to get a huge leap on leveling up the squad you are grinding. Even with premium is still a pain especially high level tank squads with tanks that don’t have a gold card version like the IS-2’s squad in Berlin.
