I never use em. I’m not really a grenade guy, not even rifle grenades ones.
But I did meet 9 infantry guys with large grenade packs that spammed them all match in Moscow… Shitters. Had to try hard to make such aholes get their deserved looser place.
so, as always, the thread starts with the title “speaking about SPAM grenades”, and it instantly turns into “speaking about THE SPAMMED ITEM and not the spam itself lol”.
good to see the big brains in the community dont change no matter the patch, the br, the update we are in, the merge, economy state, or anything. never change, guys, never change.
“im tired of players spamming an item, so instead of curb the spam itself, lets nerf the item to the ground! that will teach them not to spam!”
2 weeks later:
“OMG smoke grenade spam is getting out of hand, everyone packs 3 smoke nades and smoke the objective, its 27 smoke nade squads all the time! cant see anyhthing, its impossible to play like this!! do not nerf the spam tho, nerf the smoke grenades! NAO!”
2 weeks later:
“WTF is this! everyone is spamming frag nades non stop, please nerf the damn things! game cant be played with people carrying 27 frag nade squads and spamming them one after the other on the target, its a constant barrage of frags all over the place, please nerf them NAO! not the spam, naturally, just the item itself!”
As always people suggest limiting certain things to certain classes or outright asking it to be removed, but a weapon have multiple characteristics. Limiting the players choice will only make the game more boring and reduce the replay value.
Nerf could be applied in more thoughtful ways where certain characteristics of the weapon are adjusted to reduce its effectiveness.
Impact grenade is in the throwable weapon class and have the following properties:
Maximum damage
Fuse time
Damage radius
Throw velocity
Armor penetration value
People need to be a bit more critical in regard to a nerf request rather than asking to limit the players’ choice.
yup. its every time, everywhere. the mentality, as far as i could see, works like this:
my preferred playstyle consists of using X type of equipment above all else.
therefore, all equipment that is NOT X must be either removed, or in a clearly lower power level than X, so my preferred playstyle is the most powerful it can be in direct comparison.
therefore, i achieved superiority for MY preferred playstyle, and made all other options and choices have inherently less value.
ok, this didnt worked, people that didnt like MY preferred X playstyle left the game, or adapted and is using X. so now its only X vs X, which is not as varied, therefore more stagnant, therefore more boring. i am out of this fkin boring game to find another, to repeat the proccess again in hopes this time it works.
Had a game where enemy squad stack had nothing but grenade launchers and suicide rushes with impact nades in Moscow, where most of the capzones were in tight spaces/trenches
