Spawn planes further away

Hey,
I know this has been sugested here before, probably more than ones but I still want to emphazise on this since I think this is a low hanging fruit considering the amout of work you need to implement this and the effect it would have on the matches.

Planes probably shouldn’t spawn right above the battlefield. I mean they aren’t literally doing that right now but its close enough that its a problem.
If I do BnZ on the battlefield and someone spawns in, I am dead, no matter what I try to do.

However, and this is the suggestion, if planes would spawn further away, with a little bit of situational awareness you would have a chance to counter them if you’re doing attack runs.
Spawning them further away isn’t a guarante to spot them and also not for winning the dog fight. They should have an energy advantage so this seems pretty fair to me.

On top of that, the timer for spawning in planes at the beginning of a match would also be superfluous.
Use this as a baseline, lets say everage speed of 400kph x 60s = about 6.6 km, lets say 7 and this should work fine,

Hope you consider this as this should be an easy fix to a quite annoying issue right now.

Thanks, Cheers

Anything to stop those planes is good by me :+1:

it all depends on the map and plane loadouts. some maps have large open fields where planes reign supreme, some have large caps where planes do less damage, some are in urban setting where planes do relatively low damage. and then there is issue of loadouts. normandy planes can generally kill everything in some radius and are fast, while pacific planes are somewhat lackluster with relatively bad loadouts and slow speed.

so overall saying to spawn them further away is not a solution. it needs to be based on map/campaign/plane basis to make planes fun to play, but not OP. pacific is example of how planes should not be balanced, cause they are really not fun to play. on other hand normandy is also another example of how planes should not be balanced, cause they are too fun to play cause they are OP.

bump, i was one who suggested this before, so thanks for posting it again. keep resupply in the same spot, but move spawns further back

Planes need to spawn further away or on a airfield

I dont think this would change much, i do notice however on spawn they’re spawning ahead of resupply point so if they do spawn maybe they should spawn from the resupply point

But i dont see how would that have any impact on the game …plane would come to the field just about 15 seconds later and if objective is on open field and if there’s a pilot knowing what he’s doing …chances are enemy is about to get shredded

Maybe its because i am a pilot and im biased, but honestly airplanes dont seem to be much of an issue. There are means to get them down by jumping into fighter airplane, making heavy MG nest or AA gun - chances are you will see them before they see you and shred em apart

maybe in Normandy

why not both?

Doesnt work on Normandy for Allies.

I tried to fly in Pacific War.
Slow take off from aircraft carrier.
3500m away from target.
After target, 5000m away from ammo point.
I wont be taking this flight ever again.

Good, this will deter people from spawning planes to suicide bomb.

Considered this aswell but is probably too complicated for beginners and is also difficult to implemement

Yeah thats true, I guess you really have to fine tune every spawn point on every map instead of implementing one set distance to rule them all.

There’s also the issue that small planes or olden ones can be played on same map under customs.

A stuka having to fly 7k km to arrive on the batlefield would be a motive to rage for the team and the user.
Since, a guy with a scope camping behind is already an issue for some people, using planes would be kinda… Useless…

But who knows…

Hi I think you are right, planes can have a huge effect on the battles, but in the pacific it’s has been fixed already. Compared to other campaigns, the spawn bases are so far away from the battlefield in the pacific, that actually much less players are using planes. The devs. just should imlpement this changes to every battlefield and i think they will with the next updates before the game comes out of beta.

Still better than TA-SE ride though.
