Hello, dear sir
As you can see - in a tech tree only Madsen can be bring at br II for USSR. Its not much, to be honest.
In the other hand there is no photos almost no any evidence of it existence as a hand mg for soviets. Its a most rare and unique gun in a whole game also.
So, is there any chance to have something more reliable at II br?
For my opinion, yes. But what directly?
It can be DPM with a biker magazine (Japanese style) some amount of its kind were produced in 1938-1940. Could be good 25 rounds mg for all purposes.
What’s else? As we have a trophy PPSh obrez for axis - it will be great to have some trophy ZB-26/30. Nice decent gun.
Any chance to have something else? Could be, my friend.
Lets see in some reserch of this topic:
Light machine guns were represented by 7.92 mm caliber systems: Browning M1918 of various variants, the Czech Zb-26 of the 1926 model, the Polish wz1928, which was a modification of the Browning M1918 light machine gun. By September 1, 1941, Czech Zb-26 machine guns were the most in service with all types of light machine guns (502 units), the least — Browning M1918 machine guns (13 units)
What else can be in line of Bren gun and ZB? This one
Experimental machine guns DPM-36 (USSR. 1935) and DP-39.
In 1936, the upgraded Degtyarev DPM-36 machine gun appeared, designed according to the type of the Czechoslovakian ZB-26 light machine gun. Its characteristic features included: a 30-round sector magazine mounted on top of the receiver, a recoil spring transferred to the stock, and a quick-change barrel, as well as two types of lightweight universal alarm machines designed by I. I. Bezrukov and I. N. Kolesnikov, which made it possible to turn DP and DPM-36 into a machine gun or anti-aircraft machine gun. In the same year, another extremely interesting example of the Degtyarev amphibious assault machine gun appeared, which differed from the previous model by locking with a single combat larva, a reloading handle made in the form of an under-barrel forearm, as well as the possibility of attaching a bladed bayonet. The mass of the amphibious machine gun was only 7 kg with a total length of 1,050 mm. Degtyarev designed a lightweight universal tripod machine for amphibious operations of a very simple design, with a weight of 7.5 kg. Subsequently, this machine was adapted for a regular DP.
