This last update got us so much closer to “Sealing the deal”. The last major change to address the player base would be a Soviet & Japan campaign. Regardless of historical accuracy, bring it to this game to try to find equilibrium with the players and diversity.
US & Germany get the best diverse game experience and personally, I actually opt for those 2 more than soviets & japan for the simple fact that I can play more maps. In addition to opening more to play, the two Axis factions are now matched against the two Allied factions.
Yeah, a Japan-Soviet campaign would definitely be a lot of fun. But currently Japan is not in the state to face the soviet army. Let’s take the handheld at department as an example: Before the last update, no Japanese at would have been able to even make a scratch in an IS or KV Modell tank. As soon as Japan is more established as a faction in enlisted, such a campaign would help Japan players escape the pacific and improve the variety of the game.
Tbf, there were so many options open instead of the Panzerschreck, and assuming we saw a full update for a Soviet/Japan campaign, you could have very easily have added those sorts of items into the update instead of the somewhat lazy addition of jets.
We have to remember, if this were a full update, we have to work on the assumption that work has to be done regardless, so priority for new items can be given to Japan to fill in its holes in the TT instead of say another BR2 SMG.
There may be holes in some places but that has not stopped Japan from competing with the US. Next couple of updates can easily filler before the big campaign release. You have to think big picture
I think that US had it the worst after the merge in late 2023.
Japan was BR1-4 only
European Axis and Soviets already had most of their toys.
While US had no tank to fight Tiger II H.
No hyde1944 or T20, only M2 Carbine (though FG42 was much weaker than)
Still after a month or two of Axis dominance on BR5, they turned it around during the New Year’s event, the western Allies alone (not a single Soviet veteran was playing BR5 and Axis almost only had bot matches against Soviets on BR5).
So in my opinion as long as the skilled players stack one side and have some good weapons (like M2C, Type hei auto, P47 ect) they can win against better equipped enemies.
Well if You want this maybe Japan needs more content variety specially on low BR before getting into engagement against URRS and yes there is Lot of content that can be added to Japan Even if is just prototypes s##t
they can both scratch and break through the IC and KV, they already have ofenror and HO-RI to break through the IC, and old rocket-propelled grenade launchers are enough to break through the KV, and it has a very vulnerable driver’s hatch, the same vulnerability as the jumbo machine gun of the radio operator’s shooter
yes, and otherwise there are no special problems, both factions have good submachine guns, and the Japanese automatic hei replaces the assault rifle they need (which they only need in order to be because the automatic hei type also shows itself better or better)
The Type 100 double-barreled machine gun is certainly not as effective in attack as the Soviet RD 44 (as for me, it is a meta faction and literally the best weapon in the game in principle), but in defense, the Type 100 has no equal
