Why does the soviet paras have a tech tree weapon when its a premium squad? Is there any reason for this just curious?

Im pretty sure American paras also have a tech tree weapon (correct me if I am wrong) and the Japanese as well (thought it has a shield, unlike its tech tree counterpart). Its just the way they made it ig

They don’t none of their weapons are the same as AS-44 paratroopers.

devs got lazy, plus soviet bias as they can switch their weapon for some reason

Because that’s the USSR’s unique feature in the game. Soviet paratroopers can change their weapons, while other nations’ paratroopers usually only have 1 unique weapon of their own. As a result, other nations have many paratroopers, each with its own unique weapon, while the Soviets have only one paratrooper squad, but a universal one.

Japan has two paratrooper squads as well but they do not get that feature too.
This measuring is also conpletely redundant since these events are years old and only applies to vet who played all or most of these events. Or people who got lucky with the silver box.
So in terms of premium squads, only Germany has two squads. The rest have one.

Didn’t realize you can switch the weapon, Dont think its mentioned in the store page for them so that is a cool feature.
I’m sure their is a reason, although as much as I have brought this topic up they have never given us that reason. They should do the right thing and change all other faction’s paratroopers to have the same interchangeable weapons loadouts…But they won’t.

I would rather have universal paratrooper squads that I can equip with my weapon of choice as the unique weapon is not always a good weapon. 
NTM with the interchangeable weapons you can use them at any level, not just the unique weapon level DF forces you to use it at.
I have three different German paratrooper squads, which is cool, but I can only use them at DF’s specified level. I have one Allied paratrooper squad, but can only use it at level five, and my Japanese which is also weapon and level restricted. However I can equip my Soviet paratrooper for ANY level I see fit? 
IMOP, any squad that we as players “PAY” for with actual cash, then it should have fully interchangeable weapons loadouts so we as players can use that squad in what ever level we choose. That should be our right since we paid for it. I have a lot of squads I don’t use because they are not good for me for the level they are stuck in, but if I could change the weapons I could use them all.

I would love that for every Premium squad. It wouldn’t work for vehicles outside of APC for obvious reason. But for infantry there are no reason why i can’t switch useless weapons for something better.
It’s not even related to the Paratroopers but for many other squads why do i have to use Chauchat when i want to play at BR3? I can have 2nd weapon but it will have just 2 mags which is barely enough.

I’ve complained and suggested in the past several times for DF to change the old German MP18 assaulter squad from level two to level one. However, if DF did the right thing, they would just change it to have a universal weapon, then I can shit can the MP18, give them an MP34 and use them in level one, where I want to use them. I already have a stacked level two assaulter set up. Currently, I am forced to change their ammo pack to secondary weapon to be able to use them at other levels, however, I still cannot use them at level one, where I want. If nothing else, I would shit can the MP18 and give them a level three smg, but I don’t need them at level two.
Now I have them in level three using the Erma EMP 44 as their backup weapon, but it would sure be nice to shit can the MP 18 for an ammo pack.

And that’s why Premium APCs + Soviet Paratroopers are so great. You can play at any BR. While rest of the premiums have very poor usability outside of their very specific BR. And the higher BR of the weapon the less flexibility you will have, BR5 squads are the worst in that regard as you can’t downtier them to BR1-4 no matter what you do.

Currently I have my Soviet paratrooper squad set with PPD-34’s so I can use them in level one or two, and TBH the PPD-34 shoots fast enough I have used it in level five, however I rarely play level five with Soviets, usually just one, two and three with the vast majority being level two. My level two German paratroopers have a unique weapon, which is fine, but I would rather use the MP40, FNAB 43 or the M1 Beretta over the unique one forced upon me, then use that unique weapon as a back up weapon somewhere.
If DF did the right thing and corrected the FNAB rate of fire to at least 600 base and 690 maxed, It would probably be my favorite tech tree German level two smg.
