Maybe I’m a potato but somehow M5 quite easily survives shots from panzerfaust while M4 is almost OHKed by them.
It’s just weird.

You didnt aim low to hit the ammo after everyone in the turret was already dead.
You keep shoting the same dead space over and over again.
But yes the M5 can somehow eat way more than it should.
While I agree that the Stuart is oddly tough at times, I generally attribute that to the fact that it’s got a thin skin and spread out crew. In that clip you appear to be hitting above the ammunition and into the crew compartment
Then I would hit tracks.
Ammo is meant to be below the turret so there is where I shoot (more or less).
It somehow can even tank 150mm HE somehow more reliable than it used to so idk.
So I’m just aiming too high?
I must have misremembered ammo location then.
On that side of the tank the ammo relativly low (near tracks). The othere side of the tank had the raised ammo rack (below turret).
FFS asymmetrical ammo placement? Great
I didn’t notice that.
yup
When I’m having trouble getting a kill shot on a tank, I try to go for a mobility kill and finish it off with grenades. Engines are usually easy to hit and they go up in flames pretty quickly. Then they have to decide if they want to get out or burn.
Also for me the closer I am with an AT weapon the less consistent they seem to be. You had a decent stand-off there, but in that situation I’d have gone for an engine kill.
Probably because of the much smaller ammunition of the Stuart making OHK far less likely.
Thanks guys. Now I know to aim way lower and everything works fine.
