How bout in the future, DF builds a “what if” the US had not dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and instead, invaded Japan? All new Japan map, add a Japanese Guerrilla squad since you know some of the people would want to fight to the death. Just one of my brain fart ideas before I had my morning coffee. 
Oh wait, I don’t drink coffee, my morning Mt Dew.

If this game becomes a WW2 hypothetical yes, but it started as a historically rooted game. I’d like to keep on that track thank you very much.

Well, Id rather that than Iraq 2003 or whatever. (I hate the obsession with ‘modern conflicts’ as if enough games dont cover that enough already)
On a more serious note I want them to do WWII properly first and then the Korean War, maybe Indochina War (France VS Viet Cong). But no further than that.
I would question the need to create a made up campaign when the Korean War exists with like 95% WWII era weapons (the majority of which are already in the game)

It’s midnight here for me and I’m having weird historical ideas. So might as well just share them. How about an alternate history event involving a “what if” regarding Operation Unthinkable. Meaning US/Allied forces vs Soviet Union at the end of WW2. Which factions bias would win? Just kidding about the bias thing, but it’d be hilarious to see a match like that with both factions at their BR-V peak.
Now that’s something I’d like to see.

Im not opposed to the Idea of some day having Pontential History Scenarios but as of right now we have only scratched the surface of true History and Ww2

i’d say they fully scratched it off from the face of this planet.
so at this point, i’m not sure what could go wrong with operation sea lion, or any other never-realized / only planned battles.
i mean sure, we could get some bastardized ww2 true / actual battles that were fought. but it would kinda be a disservice.
with that being said, the location team knows how to make maps though.
