Some suggestions to improve the game

Greetings, this is a list of some suggestions that I think would make the game better.

-Replacing the Stalingrad campaign

Its a known fact that many people aren’t pleased with the Stalingrad campaign. For starters, the only new additions this campaign brings are some vehicles and maps, but nothing that causes it so stand out from other campaigns. I could go on about the other issues, especially the full access pack, but I’ll not dive into that topic any further. Instead, I want to discuss why Stalingrad should be replaced with a new campaign, that being the Invasion of France. The Invasion of France has the potential to bring new weapons and vehicles to the table. Whether it be French tanks, weapons like the MAS-38, and interesting places, like the Maginot Line and Dunkirk. There is a lot of potential for a campaign set at the height of Blitzkrieg. When it comes down to equipping the Germans, one of the ways to make them stand out from the Moscow campaign is to give them weapons from conquered countries. Such as having Norwegian/Danish rifles available at the first levels, and the wz. 35 AT rifle as a unlock or premium weapon. For the allies, they could get access to things like the 30.06 Chauchat, including the normal version, and RSC rifles. Other World War I weapons could be added to give the French Campaign a different flavor from the other campaigns. Going back to the Stalingrad campaign, the work that has gone into it doesn’t have to go to waste. I suggest that everything from the campaign: weapons, vehicles, and maps, be ported over to the Moscow campaign. The two campaigns almost completely share the same weapons/vehicles and the new additions from Stalingrad would greatly improve the Moscow campaign.

-Bayonets/Knives Overhaul

I have a suggestion related to bayonets and knives that I think would add variety to the game. Currently, most rifles have a permanently attached bayonet. I suggest that at the start of battles, rifles do not have bayonets equipped, but the player can equip it themselves. When the bayonet is equipped, rifle sway will get slightly worse since weight has been added onto the rifle. But, charging with a bayonet will decrease stamina usage by a percentage, allowing players to run farther and faster than they normally would. I also suggest that the default military knife currently in game be replaced by the proper knives used by each country. Such as, US forces get the M3 Trench Knife while the Germans get the M33 Service Dagger.

-Adding a Officer Class

In the game files, there are several flare guns. I suggest that a Officer class be added to the campaigns, with the main ability being the flare gun. When fired, the flare would improve the stats of nearby teammates by about 5%. However, the players personal squad would get 10%. The stats would last for as long the flare is burning and would only cover a small radius. The best option for equipping officers would be SMGs, like the assaulter class.

-Renaming Several Weapons

Most of the names used for weapons currently in game are very good and accurate. However, there are a few inconsistences, and I suggest renaming them. The first weapon is the Thompson M21/28. I suggest that it is renamed to the Thompson M1921AC. The AC is what the in-game weapon most closely resembles, rather than a hybrid between the two models like its current name suggests. The second weapon I suggest a rename for is the German MAS-36 rifle in the Normandy campaign. Like other trophy weapons in game, the Germans gave their own designation for captured MAS rifles, that being the Gewehr 242(f). The last weapon is the sniper M1 Garand, which is also from Normandy. Unlike the other weapons I listed, this weapon should also be completely remodeled. Instead, the sniper variant of the Garand should become the M1D.

What do you think? Is there anything else that could be added to enhance the suggestions listed? I do have two quick questions to ask. What do you think of the damage difference for weapons in Stalingrad? Do you like it, or find it annoying? Also, should the SPAA vehicles in the Pacific campaign be replaced with tanks?

I don’t understand your argument here. Its understandable a lot of people dislike stalingrad, but it makes no sense to replace it entirely? Why not just add another campaign and just leave stalingrad as it is? There is literally no reason to get rid of the main content from a major update. That would be a ton of work just wasted. The outrage the devs got from the full access pack would be nothing compared to people losing their progress and premium squads. And that’s assuming there would be a refund.

You can remove your bayonet in the soldier customization menu if you want to. More knife variety would be nice. I don’t know about the rifle sway suggestion, sounds like it might just be annoying but I am impartial to it.

This is confusing. A flat 10% increase to all stats is strange. Suddenly your bullets do more damage because there’s a light in the air? It would be weird to see flares going off inside buildings and such, maybe the devs could make it outdoor only.
I think to make an officer class work there would need to be more to it than a small stat bonus. There isn’t an incentive to play an officer in the state you suggest. What’s the point of buffing your ai and your team’s ai if they just die in 2 seconds anyway. I wish I could give you a better implementation of an officer class but I can’t really think of a way it could work at the moment.

I hardly notice it tbh.

I don’t see a need, the SPAA are really weak thanks to all the nerfs and function pretty well as starting tanks.

stalinsad sould just be intergarted into moscow

For starters, why? This would just be more pointless busy work for developers to do to write the code and create the animation and just add something else the player has to remember to do. I can forsee a great many people trying to melee in the height of the moment and being killed because they forgot to affix bayonets.
Also, the “Added weight” with an affixed bayonet isn’t that big of an issue. I’ve owned a Mosin 1891/30 and the M44. Bayonets affixed or not, you barely notice when shouldering and firing the weapon, and that’s if you’re paying special attention. Again, adding a mechanic to the game that’s in the end, pointless busywork for devs that should be fixing the AI.
Also, I am unsure about the other knives, but the default knife on the Soviet side of the campaigns is true to the real thing. The NR-40 I think it’s called, is correctly modelled.

Stalingrad is one of the best campaigns in the game, the AP saga is totally blown out of proportion, with people saying they can’t play as half content is locked, there are two gold orders which allow you to get the t34stz and Stug III, you can transfer weapons over from other campaigns, I have heard so much negativity about this campaign, but if you actually give it a chance it has some of the best street fighting, flanking options in Enlisted.

Sorry but even with recent event, people still jumping on bandwagon.

I like the idea of bayonets. The bayonet worsens accuracy, only USSR weapons were calibrated to use bayonet all the time.

I for me It should work like animation of grenade launcher, you use when you need, only USSR by its regulations could have bayonets all the time.

Stalingrad is my Favourite campaign.

There is no need to “REPLACE” the Stalingrad campaign. Adding another campaign with your suggestion (or many of what others have suggested) seem fine, but they really need to fine tune some core mechanics of the game first and foremost.

As far as the Bayonet and Knife part goes, what I personally would like to see is that bayonets be detachable as you mentioned, HOWEVER, that bayonet goes in your knife slot. If you opt to have some other melee, you do not get the bayonet for your weapon.

While I get where you are coming from, this is going to be a massive NO from me.

SMGs are already beyond spammed, now you want to add an additional squad/item that will just make them spammed even more? NO.
If an “Officer Class” were ever to be introduced, I would suggest that it be unlocked by those that have shown time and again TACTICAL prowess. Players that have used a wide variety of squads, and have them maxed out. Perhaps treating it like a special version of an ENGINEER SQUAD (In my experience, players that use engineer squads even when other squads such as assaulters, MGs, etc are options, generally have a better sense of what is going on around the map.
The flare guns, rather than giving a bonus to stats, would instead put up text that reads something like:
“The officer has given the order to attack!” or “The officer has given the order to fall back and regroup!”.
While this ultimately is just a suggestion and isn’t required that the players follow its directions, it might help to bring together teams better. As an order to fall back and regroup, followed by the order to attack might get a much larger group to attack at once rather than everyone doing their own thing.

Overall, if an officer class is added, it needs to be something that isn’t extremely spammable, be put into the hands of players that are more likely thinking about the win rather than just their own score, and be something that encourages teamwork, rather than just an outright buff to nearby players.
