Some suggestions to balance the Invasion of Normandy

no but you can anytime i can’t believe you spew so much crap also i cant believe u can defend your fg42 in game while not adding the counter to it. well i guess thats how u stay uncontested and on top. while its game breaking if allies get it. like if the allies had full atuo sniper invincible tank then gave the germans what we had u would complain so hard until they changed it they would cause your a money spending whale

Well…

The ship is long sailed here.
I’m simply getting tired of being treated by that little bugger like the last idiot on earth.

they didn’t use semi version but did use the lmg version thou cause they were lacking in that department

fair though the ship started to sail when the panzer 3B and ba11 showed up at moscow for starting tanks along with the prototype russian weapons in berlin alpha test

And I cant believe you think I am too stupid to google. Do you really think I wont do research?
And I dont know in which reality I am defending the FG while at the same time demanding it t be restricted to certain classes/ squads…

look i don’t care if they add the bar for troopers or the Johnson rifle just add a proper counter is all i’m sayin the johnson fits the bill best as it had a scope just like fg42 so it could be trooper / sniper just like the fg42 where the bar really can’t you shouldn’t limit any guns much there should be 2 choices short range and med range full atuo if you so choose
fg42 vs bar–30ish
stg vs m2 --level 22

Freakin’ Sherlock Holmes, huh?
But seriously, yes, I indeed have been playing H&G for some time. I left when they decided to make skin color customization. I’m really allergic to shit like black Wehrmacht soldiers. I know that the Johnson LMG was used on a very smal scale and mainly in Asia, but Darkflow doesn’t really care about things like that, they care more about balancing the game - both semi auto rifles for Axis in Tunisia are out of place for example.

To be honest, if they stated that Jumbo will stay, I’m OK with that, I mainly wanted to give the US something with a gun comparable to the Panther’s one. So I figured that the M36 would be fine there.

I definitely do. I play Germans in Normandy and an aircraft that can destroy everything both on the ground and in the air (with an exception of Bf 190s, but they are dedicated fighters and the best they can do when it comes to CAS is that one of them has 4x50kg payload) can win games. No aircraft on German side can do this.

Again, I play mainly Germans, they have cooler weapons in my opinion, but I started this whole topic because I wanted to hear what people think about my ideas. I put the M36 there because I felt like it was the “most possible” answer to Panther’s gun.

Why you people do this again? The main reason I thought for like three days how to balance a whole new squad is to avoid giving the FG 42 to gunner’s because IT’S NOT A MACHINE GUN. It was designed to be a do-it-all rifle, given to all soldiers and replacing the MG 34, the MP 40 and the Kar98k rifles from the Fallschirmjäger service.
@34357084 The BAR technically isn’t a machine gun either, or at least wasn’t in its intended role. Nor is it a battle rifle. It’s an automatic rifle, a category consisting of the BAR, Chauchat and Charlton, and that’s pretty much it. They (with the exception of a Charlton, it’s just a Lee-Metford and/or Lee-Enfield conversion) were meant to be fired from the hip and from the shoulder (“walking fire” concept) by soldiers (not all soldiers however) attacking trenches of the WW1 and then, once the trenches were taken, they were used as a full auto support to fight off the counterattack until the heavy machine guns arrived. Only later the BAR was fitted with a bipod and forced into an LMG role.
I think that ot would be nice if Darkflow would buff BARs, Chauchat and Charlton to have pre MG nerf stats, mainly to not cause slower movement and have ridiculous spread while moving.

What prototype Soviet weapon?

I thought about switching the Panther for the Hetzer, since it is reasonably well armored and has a gun comparable to that of the M10, so that could definitely be an option.

Can we at least as ahistorical guns which were used on the same continent?

M36 wasnt deployed until late auutum 1944… the M18 and the 76mm Sherman are more than enough…

The Ju has more bombs than the A20 while the A20 has machine guns (although you either have to face Ju or braindead fighters to actually kill someone with them. IMO they are more usefull for ground targets). Again it depends mostly on what you prefer/ what could fit in your playstyle.

Its not just about Mericans. The fact that more and more people requesting more fire to fight fire is “interesting”.

Well Its not a “semi-automatic rifle” too.
The BAR isnt a machine gun too. But similiar to the FG, the Army decidied to treat it like one. So IMO its only fair that the FG should be treated like all battle rifles (treated like a MG for some reason). Either put the FG into gunner role/ limit it to para squads or BARs for everyone but the last one wouldnt be welcomed at all (which should be the case as it would make the Brokemandy madness even worse).
Or rework the whole thing with FG, AVS and M2. Its just weird that with the exception of the M2, no one of them have a real class. Same for the MP43 since its not a machine pistol. Let alone that almost everyone can have the first three named guns despite the gunner and the assaulter should be the sole classes who are supposed to have automatic guns (at least according to the advertisment of Enlisted).

Interesting aspect.
But even the BAR wasnt easy to handle due toe its high recoil. At least I never saw someone who was able to auto fire while ADS (Ihdc about the Chauchat and idk enough about the Charlton)
I kinda agree though that they should take a look at the BAR again but I guess this will happen after the FW got fixed which will be never+ 4 months.

I just wanted to propose something with the 90mm gun as a counter to Panther’s armor.

What I meant was that the P-47 is good both against the ground and air targets. Germans don’t really have an aircraft like that: the Fw 190 is similar as a fighter but it’s ground armament pales in comparison to that of the Thunderbolt. The Bf 110 has twice the amount of rockets of the Fw 190, which is still worse that what P-47 can do, and it is a twin engine fighter. Sure, there is the Ju 188 which is better in ground pounding, but the point is that Germans don’t have any aircrafts that are truly universal like the P-47.

German army (or Fallschirmjäger, to be precise) didn’t treat it as a machine gun. The FG 42 was used in it’s intended role - as a “universal rifle”, so mainly as a semi auto, but as a support weapon to pin down the enemy if needed. That’s why I object so strongly to giving it to gunners. Because its primary role never was to be a support weapon.
The M2 is fine, for all soldiers - it’s an assault rifle (shooting a rather weak cartridge, but an intermediate one nontheless) and it was meant to be issued to regular infantry. The AVS-36 also is fine where it is. First of all, it has realistic recoil stats, it was really hard to shoot this thing full auto, and it also was meant to be issued to infantry. It just wasn’t reliable enough, so Soviets started new trials and chose the SVT-38 later upgraded to the SVT-40.

I know that firing a rifle caliber weapon in a non in-line layout is hard, but I feel like that would be nice thing to have in game. I mean, those guns had front handguards/grips for a reason, right?

we had RD-44, and i think the AS-44

I see your point but the M18 should be enough as long as the devs dont give us AP ammo again.
Amazing penetration values and post pen dmg and its more or less historical.

On the other hand, the BF has its 30mm and 37mm cannon. They are amazing good against inf and okay against (light) tanks and planes (although I have the feeling that they are weaker against planes than they should).

I agree.

Iirc the Lufrwaffe wanted a light replacement for machine pistols and machine guns due to the weight issues of the avaible stuff.
The Reich Air Ministry (Reichsluftfahrtministerium or RLM) sought to develop a universal shoulder-fired automatic rifle that could replace the bolt-action rifle, submachine gun, and light machine gun in the air assault role.[8]
It would be strange if they (just) focused on the SA fire since the Germans with their small arm doctrine had no interest in semi-auto rifle until they encountered the SVTs and the M1 Garand. The main aspect of their squads were machine guns and the MG34 was too heavy for air landing mission.
And besides… the FG and the AVS have automatic fire. You cant put them on the same level like a M1 or a G41.

Yeah. The AVS sucks hard but its still a automatic battle rifle and not a semi-automatic.

dude its trash it lost to everything in war thunder only thing going for it is its fast thats it
i hit so many panthers with shit tank i switched it out cause it sucks so bad why do you think they will add any thing good for allies up to this point they shown how biased for the germans they really are. unlimited respawns for defenders fg42 for every one/sniper panthers cant be killed mg 34 /42 spam while everyone else gets 1 atuomatic and it rather limited in uses but the germans get full atuo for everyone and no limits

Funny cause the Wehraboos say the same except they say DF favors the Allies.

Dude. Don’t even get me started on how good hellcat is in War Thunder against German late war tanks like Panther, Tiger and Königstiger. There are countless times when at the beginning of the match I was destroyed by a Hellcat hidden 10-20 meters from me while I was slowly driving my Tiger to the capture point. It is a very good vehicle - it has a good gun and excellent mobility. If it was added to Enlisted, it would run circles around Panthers.

i doubt it would be that good in enlisted
open topped vehicles dopntt tend to last long, and with how cluttered everything is and how restricitve the maps are you can probably forget about any real flanking

The way you use quotes is beyond me  What do you agree on?

Your thoughts on the P47 being the best allrounder.
I just prefer to not quote whole walls of text to make my comments easier to read.

Well, there was a version of the M36 GMC’s turret with a thinn steel “roof” to protect the crew from shrapnel and small arms fire, so maybe that variant would be better.
And when it comes to flanking I think it would be about as good as the Puma is.
