Some idea about changing the building system, engineer and landmine slot

Building should not be an engineer only thing. most classes with right thing in landmine slot can build or setup something.
for example machinegunner can carry tripod and setup his mg like a stationary with all his mg ammo. And this mg stand stay there even if the machinegunner die unless it is destoryed or the player decide to setup a new stand. the ammo of the mg stand will increase if there is a ammo box near by.

landmine system become an engineer only thing. Engineer’s build list can change if they carry different things in their landmine slot. Here is some of the ideas about this system

  • at/aa gun package, allow the assumble of an at/aa gun.
  • landmine chest, change the building slot to different landmines and decrease the building material to 5-10 and in game landmine option become mine detector allow safe removal of enemy mines.
  • explowsives, allow engineer build very powerful explosive chest that active countdown once built. very efficient against enemy structure and natural structure and allow the removal of tank reckage.
  • assault engineer gear, allow the fast removal of engineer structure. come with a mine detector

I build rally’s sandbags/ ammo/ MG guns/ AT and AA, be F if i am going to waste time, in such a paced game to scout mines for people.

Don’t go the obvious path, send a bot first, mine sweeping, ffs

Put all this crap on something else, leave engineers out of this.

make it a scout class thing just like in the game that i keep playing

since in that game only scout class can see mine

Apply some common sense here.

The reason why ppl have so many issues with mines is because they run and gun.

who do you think is going to “scout mines” for you ? Noone

What the expectation is, is that yet another role slot gets added to your assault squad and that you can now run and gun, build stuff with your engineer, and now spot those pesky mine fields that slow down your run and gun game.

Put simply there is just no need for it. You want to run and gun, go for it, but as i4i suggests run your 9 man infantry through to the objective first clearing the mines before you spawn your run and gun assault squad.
