Solution to solve player base split

I think the developers could make 4 theaters of wars and place the campaigns according to the location of the theaters of wars.

The theaters of war and campaigns would be:

Eastern Front: Moscow, Stalingrad, Berlin

Western Front: Normandy

North Africa and Mediterranean front: Tunisia

Pacific front: Guadalcanal

The menu would look like this: When starting the game, it appears for the player to choose a theater of war (with map images of each front, such as the Eastern, Western, Pacific, Mediterranean and North African Fronts), and then the campaigns for the player choose (where it shows the region of the campaign, I will send below an image suggestion of how the design of the campaigns and theaters of war could be), after choosing the campaign, the player customizes his equipment and soldiers of his Squads according to the levels of the chosen campaign.

Example: When the screen to start appears, the player clicks on start, then it appears for the player to choose some of the theaters of wars, and he chooses the theater of the eastern front, then it appears for him to choose the following campaigns Moscow, Berlin and Stalingrad, the player chose the Berlin campaign and after he customized his squad and his soldiers’ equipment, he clicked Start. BUT it lands on some map of Moscow, instead of being Berlin, your squadron and your soldiers would be according to the shape you customized in the Moscow campaign before customizing in the Stalingrad campaign.

So, in matches, you would play according to the theater of war you chose and not the campaigns (as it currently is), and the player would fall into maps of the campaigns randomly, within your chosen theater of war.

Developers could add 1 option for the player to choose his favorite campaign and another option for the player to choose a campaign he doesn’t like in each theater of war.

Images below of what the war and campaign theater designer could look like.

Theater of War:

North Africa region and the Mediterranean

Campaigns:

I think it would be interesting to leave a story of the battle for each campaign like on the right side of the image, leave the texture of the map design with the clouds too, and instead of placing the soldiers on top of the text of the battle story, put the flags of the countries that will face each other. And also put some dots (like in the BF image, but it can be with another format and color, where you can suggest) with names and images of each campaign map, and these country flags on the side of the map and below in the image above does not need to be placed.
What did you think?

Yep campaigns need to be grouped into fronts, but this will probably never happen and they will just continue to add more and more individual campaigns while not gaining enough new players to sustain those individual campaigns.

They could add more content if it were in that style, instead of being campaigns like it is currently, but I hope they see and consider it.

There will be one ww3 theather soon, will meet You guys there.
But there are rumors that playerbase will shrink there too.

On serious note, less campaigns, less squad managing, less dividing playerbase always better.
BUT, it’s less money so You see it’s not worth it for brilliant marketing team that knows it’s better to sell 100$ to 10 people than 10$ to 1000

its better good for them to sold same thing to same players many times

Yes, it’s true, but I think it’s quite possible that it pushes more players to play enlisted on a constant basis, and it will end up killing the game, because there are fewer players playing. They could do like the war thunder tree for each country, and put squads, weapons, tanks and planes, and put like a coin for that to unlock. And I wouldn’t need to unlock 2 times to thompson and several other squadrons, weapons and squadrons the same in different campaigns.
Squads could focus on advantages of their soldiers in their squad, such as the Big Red One squadron runs 20% faster, can walk prone 30% faster, and that would be more or less that, the other squadrons would have other advantages and disadvantages.
Regarding tanks and weapons, place each tank, planes and weapon in its historical period in the specific campaigns. Ex: unlocked the Panzer III B, it would only be available to play in the Moscow and Stalingrad campaign, and would not be available to play in the Berlin, Tunisia and Normandy campaign.
The best and least manufactured tanks and guns in history would cost more for those who might have a good situation.
Order orders for bronze and silver, use to recruit soldiers, customization for soldiers (would be expensive) and equipment.
In the country search tree, they could add sub country, which would look something like this: The UK would have a sub tree of Australian, Indian, Polish, etc. countries. And it would have weapons, squadrons, tanks and planes specific to its sub country, same thing for Urss (Russians, Ukrainians, Siberians, etc), Germany (Czechs, Vichy French, Romanians, etc), and several other factions with their sub country. I think that would draw a lot of players and they could make more profit from it.

OR they can just do a Warthunder-like branch progression…
From Mosin 1907 to AF
From G33/40 to STG44
From Springfield to M1919, etc. With some limitations of course

Yes, this mechanic would be very cool, but I think it should be in a specific campaign for this, as you mentioned about G33/40 it must be in the Moscow campaign and other campaigns in which the Germans used it within their historical period and the STG44 in the campaign from Normandy, Berlin and other campaigns in the period from 1944 to the end of ww2.

yes, this is the kind of limitations i’m talking about

Ok, I got it

Oh, another one! Seems like my idea wasn’t that bad back then: Campaign rework idea. Anyway, seems like I need to make the updated version of my original thread:)

:open_mouth: i didn’t even know that I had made this similar idea before, I hope this idea of the theater of war and countries’ research trees gain strength, and the developers put it in the game. I will read your post and like.

I like your idea in general, with the country research trees instead of campaign ones. As I’ve said, I’ll make an updated version of my original post with more detail, but I definitely like unifying the progression for one faction instead of campaign.
