Solothurn TEST Vs Semi-Auto AT Rifles = BR 1

German enemies will for sure appreciate when all their heavier guns will get that penalty while they will be able to sprint, jump and shoot at the same time with their AT rifles and MGs.
RD-44 for example has no ADS movement penalty while shooting so it’s a superior MG to MG42 100 that can’t hit anything past 20m even while standing still when you go full auto and also has just -20% sprint penalty.

I thought that too but…

That’s another reason I tell you to become a snob pilot main like us.

The ground is too icky with sweat? Hop on a plane and relax. It’s so liberating, it doesn’t matter if you win or lose, as long as you know the best pilot is you!

It’s tempting. But at my heart I’m an artilleryman

Including AA one :smiling_imp:

Yeah, I saw that one. Maybe later I’ll make a post about it.
But for now I don’t care.

Ahah that’s cute but,

“Say hello to my little friend”

(Don’t call him big. He’s rather sensitive and has a tendency to explode when prodded a bit.)

I would like the S18 mechanic be put on the Other AT rifles you show here

Like the T97 and PTRS

Perhaps you will get your wish.

Bump

What could be a really cool weapon is being wasted at BR 2… Prone/bipod really removes most of its useability

Concur.

Many unlocked it already, and surprise! Nobody uses it.

It has the stats of a br1 AT rifle. Strong yes, for br1. At br2 it’s just worthless, ppl are better using the sturmpistole…

I would be perfectly fine with the Solothurn KEEPING it’s prone/bipods mechanics restrictions… IF it’s down br1 where it should be. Those restrictions would make it really balanced if not slightly worse than top br1 AT rifles (ptrs, gundam canon).

it needs to be powerful to justify having to Prone/Bipod…nearly impossible to use as needed in any urban/cluttered area…

BR 2 robs it of any power

One more thing justifying br1:

How often do we see CHAD guys climbing on enemy tanks, then unloading their AT rifles in the engine block?

It’s a common tactic, is it not?

Well, you cannot do that with the Solothurn. You must be prone, so climbing on the tank won’t work.

Yes. Br1 is where it must be. Won’t even be unbalanced.

Yeah, you really cant do that, also PTRS is used with great success against planes, which the Solothurn also cant do.

It has no place in BR2, but if the devs think its 10 round mags + the penetration stats are too good for BR1, they should not forget that they can easily change what round it fires, since its a 20mm it can use quite alot of weaker rounds.

Ahah I forgot that!

And how could I, me who played H&G for so long

Yes. The Solo is justified at br1. And no it’s not necessary to nerf it’s shells, considering it’s pen values are really similar to other high end br 1 AT rifles.

Theres no real need to nerf it either…in the testing the only benefit of the extra pen is range. You still have to shoot the same weakspots that the other semi auto AT rifles can pen…

So while it has the longest range, its not the hugest benefit.

Type 97 range still pens further than you would use it.

Far enough its difficult to hit the weakspot as the target is so small

It shouldnt have its stats changed while its a bipod/prone weapon. Just its BR
