I’ve noticed new troop quality seems to be poorer recently, anyone else found this?

Noticed that too. Every soldier you buy is now 2 stars min, right? Somehow they all get stats like if they were 1 star only… wich effectively removes a star lvl to obtain good stats.
My guess is they are planning another gaijin and want to force ppl into buying soldiers lvl 3 instead of lvl 1… since lvl 3 soldiers cost a fortune to upgrade.

Level of the soldier has no effect on the AI’s combat performance, your ai is either going to do nothing or snap 180° and up 45° to dome you in 0.2 seconds and it seems entirely random which one they are

Yes poor as in the amount of stat points they have per level, I have bought quite a few troops as they are on discount, and the quality has definatley lacking compared to what usually drops IMHO. You can level up any soldier obviously, but troops with badly rolled stats are not worth investing in IMHO. Buying lots of troops to get the troops u want feels like a way to squeeze people out of gold, I might be wrong, but that’s what it feels like.
