I want to leave a suggestion for a new type of cooperation mechanic, namely the ability to transfer ammo or share part of the ammo with another nearby soldier. Very useful to encourage teamwork, and to solve difficult situations where the ammunition box is not nearby.
That would be nice, if nothing else then for LMGs because LMG ammo was usually spread out among the squad
You can already request ammo from squadmates when you are out. They will run up and give you a mag.
You can also already request a teammate to put up an ammo box.
In addition, almost all squads can have an engineer put on them. All engineers can build ammo boxes.
We know.
But I’m always up for new xp rewarding mechanics…
Worked in RO1 and RO2 nicely. Instead of having to run back to the ammunition spot, machine gunners could ask for ammunition and anyone could give a belt. Rewarded xp, machine gunner could continue firing happily.
Win win.
You have unlimited ammo as long as you have a bot squadmate around.
They only issue 1 magazine of primary weapon ammunition, and only if you are completely depleted.
There are also ammo boxes and large ammo pouches.
There’s already plenty of existing sources of ammunition, and effectively more ammunition than what you can do with so long as you have an engineer in your squad.
This seems unnecessary.
I think the author is referring to the ability to replenish ammo to or from a soldier that is not in your squad. Besides, there are some premium squads that do not have an engineer. The Mosin M44 or Lebel M93 squads, for example. Also, if your squad mates are dead, what are you going to do, just kill your last soldier?
Pick up the clearly inferior weapon of your enemies and carry on! lol
Either pick up a weapon off the ground or charge forward with your melee. Move on to your next squad.
I mean it would be an exclusive feature specifically for lone combatant custom modes.
