Really like the Game so far (even gonna say i´m going to be addicted to it xD) but there are some things the could be improved. A Soldier Customization would be awesome and also the possibility to change the Names of the Soldiers (as a German some of the Names used for the Germans sounds weird and don´t really fit into that time or as an German Soldier - for example Isidor). Also some of the Names are missspelled or have letters missing.
Also some of the German Uniforms look a bit weird, “flat” and unrealistic (more like that weird BF V Uniforms). Do you planning to add more historical accurate? For example add the eagle on the Uniforms? It is not forbidden to use that Eagle in Germany when it has no Swastika on it and many other Games use the Eagle with the Iron Cross in Germany for Censorship. Would be really great

I know this sounds stupid, but in CBT I had this engineer, he had all the packs, cool helmet, green coat, looked like an SS. When the CBT ended, he magically disappeared.
Well, I agree, the german uniforms should be reworked.
The all german field jackets had an eagle over the right breast pocket, this is missing here.
Some soldiers wear so called “Tarnhemden”, camo shirts, for example the flame thrower squad in the Normandy campagin. The camo pattern is the so called “Splittermuster” (“splinter pattern”), which would be historical correct. But this pattern should use field grey oder green instead of yellow or sand color. Sand color was used only in the so called “Sumpfmuster” (“swamp pattern”).
And the equipment… The “Gasschutzplane” ( Anti gas canvas, the square shaped thing some soldiers wear on their breast) was used only in the first stages of the war and was dropped after 1940. So this should be deleted on the Normandy and Berlin Campaigns, and even on the Moscow campaign.
And the Ammo pouches… Could we PLEASE get some realistich pouches? Magazine pouches for the MP soldiers, other magazine pouches for the FG42 and G43 soldiers and rifle pouches for the rest?

Well but what is with the German Uniforms? Will they get reworked to be more historical Accurate and will be changing Names of Soldiers/Custom Names a thing?
The only thing that are missing, are pouches. Which I think those will be fixed once we will be able to randomic customize them ( as those are present as well )
Hmm well that´s sad to hear It would be really benifitial (at least for me) when the Game could feature more accurate Uniforms (-well i´m an Uniform-Lover-) and it would add much more immersion to the Game.
Well it´s not that bad as in BF V (the Moscow Soldiers - especially the one with the “Schiffchen” looks really good and more closely to the real Uniforms). Also Pouches would be great!
Yes. That´s also a thing that bothers me. Also the don´t have M38 Helmet which was typical for the Fallschirmjäger. Really wish they going to change the Problems with the German Uniforms.
The only really good German Uniforms in the Game are the Volkssturm Uniforms.
I mean, the only things missing so far are the ranks on troopers. But we don’t use those, paratroopers uniforms, And perhaps iron crosses?
( I wouldn’t count pouches, because in Berlin some of the units does wear backpacks and pouches all together, weather other campaigns are a bit scuffed. But nontheless present ).
Mind that it’s a beta. And most likely things will be introduced further down the line as there are currently other priorities.
Not just the ranks are missing, it´s also the Reichsadler and other emblems on the Uniform. The uniforms looks a bit like that from pow when they remove all insignias. Also yeah the paratrooper uniforms - some of the squads comes from parachute divisions. Medals would be also an interesing addition - knights cross, iron cross, Nahkampfspange and so on. Also what really would be cool is when the would add the Division Großdeutschland (even as premium squad - it´s my favorite division)
Well there is a progress in model/skin making in the berlin campaign compared to the others (to be honest the whole campaign feels more polished then the other two). i really hope they will add the pouches and backpacks to the other campaigns too. It would even make more sense that the earlier campaigns have all the pouches and backpacks and the berlin one would be the scuffed when we take in consideration that it is the Battle of Berlin and the supplies are very rare.
And yeah i don´t want to trashtalk the game or make hasty conclusions. The game has so much potential and is on the right way. Maybe we have luck and they introduce the things we are wishing. I played War Thunder nearly since the beginning and it is sad to see some of the dumb decisions they made.
Well the Paratroopers ingame are really messed up (the seem to wear the M44 Uniforms which was used by the Heer and SS). I must say i really like the German Paratrooper Uniforms! Also it´s sad that they messing the Kragenspiegel completely ingame. By the way i know it have nothing to do with the Game but is there somewhere a picture how the SS-Fallschirmjäger Uniform looked like? I know there was one Unit which mostly fought against partisans in the Balkans as part of the “Bandenbekämpfung”.
Absolutly. I think they should take their time to improve the uniforms off all nations in the game to make them more authentic. We will see.
Oh thank you! Well that makes sense. What was there Kragenspiegel? Did they have the one from the SS or was they using similiar ones to the other paratroopers?
Thank you very much for the info! Well the thing with the eagle is interesting - maybe they had the SS Eagle on the other arm which is not seen in the picture - or they were in fact using just the Luftwaffe Eagle. Also it would be interesting to see which belt-buckle they used (SS or Luftwaffe?).
