What perks do you choose for your soldiers and why?
I’ll start first and from the most important class - engineer:
Basic stats require: 14 / 17 / 14
- +50% building speed.
The faster you build spawn point - faster you will get reinforcements and your team will be able to capture point faster. Temp is very important. - +200% health restored by medpack.
One of two the most important perks for any soldier. Technically you get +100% hp. - +40% resource available for buildings.
I’m not sure about this perk for usual engineers, maybe stamina will be ,uch better so you can run much longer and get through obstacles. Suggestions? - -40% firearm vertical recoil while standing.
Probably it’s the best perk for it’s cost and slot, on;y specific weapons need horizontal recoil buff and they’re not top tier. - -50% firearms changing speed.
After all previous perks I don’t see any usefull skills. Helps to change between your weapon and building kit faster.
Okay, next.
Assaulter:
Stats: 15 / 15 / 14
It’s very simple - more health and speed with stamina. Do your best in assault and close combats.
- +75% medpack usage speed.
One of two most important perks with another one in stamina. It’s pretty big difference when you heal in 2.5 seconds instead of 8. Sometimes you can caught enemy by surprise with this. Needed for any soldier. - +100% climbing speed.
Debatle since there’s more universal perk for speed and it’s cheaper. But I think since assaulter work in close combats and are best in town maps - it’s better to climb fast trough windows, ladders and other obstacles. - +200% Health restored by medpack.
Combo with +75% medpack usage speed. - +100% stamina
Since we run, jump and climb a lot in this game, it’s especially important for assaulter. It’s also helps to be able to aim properly after a lot of movements. - -40% firearm vertical recoil while standing.
Nothing changes since engineer. Universal perks that helps aiming and doing more dps in short time.
Machine Gunner.
It’s for americal lmg soldiers. Since they use BAR with 20 round mags - their guns have little random bullet spread.
Stats: 14 / 12 / 14
- +75% medpack usage speed.
- +10% run speed.
To compensate their debuff on speed and make them somehow mobile. I think it’s the second most important perk for machine gunners to be able to compete with assaulters. - +200% Hea;th restored by medpack.
Combo with +75% medpack usage speed. - -50% effect of head-shacking caused by nearby explosions
I didn’t of anything better and decided to pick this perk to be able to aim more properly in more situations. Maybe 2 streangth perk with decreasing of shot spread will be better but I find BARs already accurate. IDK, your opinions? - -40% firearm vertical recoil while standing.
AT Gunner
Stats: 8 / 15 / 16
- +75% medpack usage speed.
- +200% Health restored by medpack.
Combo with +75% medpack usage speed. - +100% stamina
- -40% firearm vertical recoil while standing.
- -15% speed of decreasing of the shot spread after quick turning of the firearm, -25% shot spread after quick turining of the firearm
I didn’t think of anything better since AT gunner don’t have much stat points except in streangth.
I think you have already caught the idea about universal perks and how they perform depending on class and stats. I will pick uot the most important:
- +75% medpack usage speed
- +200% health restored by medpack
Theese two are combo of giving you +100% health in 2.5 seconds. Helps a lot since on most soldiers you’re forced to use big ammo pack and have only 1 medkit. Yes, they spend 2 slots but they don’t cost too much and can be peacked early before you train your 5 star soldier. - +100% stamina
Kind of important since we run, jump and move overall a lot in this game. If there’s not enough stats for this perk after health perk, you can pick +100% stamina regeneration speed perk and it costs you 0 points. - -40% firearm vertical recoil while standing
Probably the most efficient perk in power since you already spend 3 slots for health and stamina. Helps a lot to do a lot of damage in short time by helping you to control gun’s recoil and aim properly.
And fifth slot is always situational depending on a class and it’s stats.
Actually, I;m interested in another 2 power perks: - Greater chance to get in downed state on taking fatal damage, +50% downed state time before death.
- +12% firearm reload speed.
Theese two are also good beacause first one helps you to survive longer and second also increases your efficiency in fight. Second one maybe is more important since we have enough weapons with long reload time: lmg, AT guns and etc.
