So when is KV1 finally getting nerfed?

been wondering why my Panzer IV struggles to penetrate, even tho KV1 only has 75mm of armor, while KV1 always one hit kills.

Panzer IV = 140mm pen vs 75mm KV armor

vs

KV1 = 78mm pen vs 80mm Panzer IV armor

something doesnt seem right

check it out, KV 1 uses APHEBC which only has 78mm of armor pen, I am a bit confused about its performance.

Stalinium protection values are higher than what numbers show. Because numbers do not count bia… the might of the PEOPLE!

Joke (or is it) aside, I don’t really have troubles taking out the KV with a long barrel pz4…

50- 50 to pen for me, usually only the turret works

That’s where you should aim, too. Left cheek (from your point of view) if I remember well. If the KV doesn’t explode outright, what’s left in the turret… well there’s usually nothing left in the turret. You can then casually take your time finishing it.

But KV does not bother me, really. It’s strong sure, as it should! Quite an iconic vehicle. It’s powerful in br3, a bit like pz3N is powerful in br2

why tho? 75mm of frontal armor should be easy game no?

Now imagine trying to fight it with a Sherman…it’s rough playing low BR WT sometimes…

Because ammo rack, really.

Also maybe I got used to fight in Stalingrad when the long pz4 wasn’t patched yet… it was harder then

I destroyed many with my good ol’ trusty Stug III F since before the merge in Stalingrad, even with shots on the frontal armor. As long as I was the first one to get the first shot I’d win the engagement most of the time. I think that the Stug III F uses the same cannon stats of the Panzer IV F2.

Shooting it from the front is quite a bold and risky move anyways, only for crazy bastards with nothing to lose like myself. I’d always recommend to flank and shoot it from the side (if posible) shooting the side of the turret will take out 2 or 3 guys, and shooting the side of the chasis at the same level where the tracks are will explode it instantly 90% of the time.

well Sherman has zero post pen damage - unrealistic and terrible for gameplay.

And the worst 75mm AND 76mm in all of WWII (for anti tank purposes)

Fellow stug enjoyer I see.

Same reason why DF refuses to fix overpowered PPSh-41 box and PPS-42/43. And don’t want to give Germans high cap MG. They want Soviets to be overpowered and Germans weak as humanly possible before they break from exhaustion of tryharding.

I havent fired at a KV 1 in another tank for ages. (Enlisted)

But 75mm long “should” blap them easily from the front. Does in warthunder

Most of the time they will bounce most rounds against turret or hull and kill you in a single hit while you only took a few of their crewman.

Daily German Joke +1

playing KV1 main I see, you like killing bots? cuz that what you get when low BR Soviets have an unfair tank, while Germany BR5 has an unfair tank.

bot games for both sides - how great

Sometimes I can’t tell the difference between anti-intellectual groups and AI
But I guess anti-intellectual groups are more likely to be slaughtered

Maybe you should try to use your wisdom to solve this problem,
This is more useful than a protest between two tanks that can destroy each other about who can detonate the ammo rack faster.

be quite and dont talk
