P38 has trash rockets. Bf 110 has holy hand grenade level rockets.

A good 3N driver will be able to prevent themselves from being destroyed by a Sherman as well, ultimately their ability to penetrate one another is comparable to each other. Unless the Sherman were updated with M61 instead of the M72 itā€™s currently saddled with, at least. Post-pen damage of their HEAT and AP rounds respectively is also similar. A good 3N driver will angle 30-45 degrees to the sherman, and the sherman in turn will angle 10-20 degrees to the 3N. The turret of both tanks can be penetrated by each other, as well as weak spots on the UFP.

Of course, Iā€™m assuming the 3N has Hl.Gr.38C, not B, given the C model was the standard issue HEAT round for the 3N in 1944, butā€¦ well, Iā€™ve not gotten my normandy german team up to the point of using the 3N yet, so I donā€™t know how the penetration manages, if itā€™s green straight-on to the M4A2ā€™s hull it would be the C model, though, given the 20% difference in performance, and I know Iā€™ve been penetrated frontally by 3Nā€™s before in my sherman.

Oh no, the 3N is only capable of penning the Sherman from the rear or the side but it has to be a 90 degree angle or it will not pen. 3N can flank and out maneuver a Sherman, however a good Sherman driver will always win, the thing is most Sherman drivers actually kinda suck lol.

It only has regular AP, and HE.

So, itā€™s not only the Sherman getting the ahistorical ammo stick, but the 3N also has been given outdated/obsolete ammo that had since ceased being issued as well?

I have a bunch of FG42s but I donā€™t play Normandy that much. I mainly play Berlin now because itā€™s the only campaign that isnā€™t raped by airpower.

Because the allied CAS is screwed compared to the axis CAS - as usual - so it is only the allies get bombed to oblivion?
