I guess I will have to try the Russian one, what level is it? Yeah, the pistol caliber carbines are the way to go at the lower levels and I wish they would put them in the tech tree at the lower levels. If the Smith were in the tech tree I wouldn’t own an M1 carbine. 
Once I get to level 3 I use some M1 carbines, but mostly M1 Garands now. However, I really don’t play level 3 much anymore, I just go up and use the T20’s at level 5.

It might be better to make the fully automatic Fedorov more unwieldy and put it in Tier 2. (More recoil? Or make it less powerful?)
And as a balance, implement minor changes to the MkB35/III in the German tree.

And what of the American tree to deal with this new low tier StG wannabe?
Now that you actually talk about it, maybe it wouldn’t be too crazy to actually indeed add assault rifles and even select fire weapons to even low BR.
I mean something like a MKB42 could already deserve to be put into BR4 - and the BR2 gold order Mkb35 isn’t all that powerful anyways.
Actually the Mkb35 is poor specifically because it has a rate of fire of just 400, if MKB42 and Fedorov both had a nerfed fire rate of also 400, they can easily sit in BR3.
