is it identical to its drum version or does it have something different in performance? because I am thinking of using it to the end of the campagni without changing it

It is exactly the same, if you like spamming reload a lot, then you’r gonna like the box one more. Also you could bring more ammo to the battlefield with it. In fact the box magazine was a better design, cause drum mags were too bulky, expensive and they liked jamming when fully loaded.

thanks for the answer i very like it with box much more than the drum version I use in moscow, just one more question wy it was placed before the PPD?

I guess weapons with drum mags are ranked higher, because they are better at fighting against groups of enemies. Like with the pps, ppd you need about 3-4 bullets to kill someone so that’s about 25-26 rounds to wipe out a normal 7 man squad, because of that you can’t really miss too many shots with the box magazine ppsh. With drum mags you could miss plenty and still have enough ammo to finish the whole squad.

Mayby drum variants are leter unlocks for balance reason. Typically people think drum variants/weapons are stronger

I do prefer drum mag PPSh better because of the ability to actually spray more before reloading plus I like its silhouette better than the box mag as its the legendary SMG.
PPSh with the stick mag has almost no recoil when prone, while the drum mag PPSh has more recoil when prone than while crouching.
