Smoke Grenades

I am sure it has come up a lot but the smoke grenades are a bit lacking.

Looking at the smoke it looks like it has a high particle count but the smoke only goes upward and the particles grow in size and then remain at a set height as they rotate and fade away. It may be nice to add a sideways drift on the smoke (maybe it calls it from the level so all smokes go in the same direction, but are different for each play, to simulate wind without the resource expense of real-time wind simulation) - and have it last for around 100 seconds like the real grenades do.

Right now they don’t really work for covering an advance which is really iconic of WW2. It would be awesome to see them used that way.

I hope that tanks and other ground vehicles can also use smoke bombs, so that they can retreat safely when they are damaged. In addition, they can also hinder the field of vision when enemy infantry are approaching.

To be honest, if the smoke grenades last 100 seconds, it’s a hell of a gaming experience for both parties,you can try to imagine what it would happen like if both parties call smoke barrages.
Smoke grenade launchers on some tanks still been a problem in WT, especially Sherman , Sherman’s 2 inch launcher in the WT has been obliterated ,even somesone already mentioned this problem in 2017.

I’m not sure why it’s not a thing yet, majority of tanks have either anti-infantry or smoke launchers, but they’re empty, and just serve as a decoration atm. The amount of potential they would have if they were actually functional, especially on heavy tanks.

+1, I rarely see any uses of Smoke grenades outside of artillery

I’ve never seen someone suggest it, if we want that to happen someone should make a suggestion

The new smoke grenades are awesome! The extra few seconds, quick start and the extra puffs really did the trick. Nice and simple but they are so much more useful now!
