I feel like adding multiple patterns of the smokescreen would make it way better. For example a circle - to both prevent defenders from shooting at attackers at range and prevent for example a defenders’ tank from wiping out the attackers already on the point. Or just a possibility to “break” the line that you’re drawing on the map - to obstruct the vision from two angles.

I mean, almost no one is using it anyways, so I’d rather say it would make it more appealing to use.
fair enough. it would make it a bit more interesting.
Smoke artillery should be on separate timer from HE shells, so radio squads have some use even if there are more than 2 people using them at the same time.
More patterns could be usefull, but we can still use smoke granades in most cases.
