Smarter AI.... current AI is soo fucking retarded

like i tell my squad to group up on the second floor of a building and where do i find my soldiers when i switch to them… on the ground level running around outside of the building i told them to group up in 2 minutes ago if they’re even still alive at that point… and then whenever someone calls in an airstrike my squad members that actually followed the order i gave them to hold the 2nd floor run outside to their death trying to escape the radius of the airstrike instead of staying inside the building where they are relatively safe from the airstrike… like this is beyond forest gump stupid this is just straight up mentally retarded…

Until they fix this stupid behaviour you can do this it help.

  1. Put them in passive mod (behaviour wheel)
  2. Select individual order.
  3. Give them each of them an individual order of the precise position you want.

They should stay hidden and alive longer.
It’s very nice in tunisia where you can put every bot in the same building, with only one door, inside the objective.

But yea the dev have to work on the AI…

Very good points!

Devs need to make it so the behavior wheel also shows you which AI setting you’re using.

Individual orders worked well in the past, but yeh bots don’t like multiple level buildings, even when formation is standard, they stand outside sometimes, even though order was to cover window…

Yep.

But in an easier way:

  • Double click a squad order, your squad go in passive mod to the direction (they don’t shoot back, it is mean to rush a position and avoid being MG’ed)
  • Simple click is the classic RTS like “Move and attack at will”, like now.

It can reduce the number of button and being very practical.

Same with the tag button:

  • simple click : classic tag
  • double click : supressive fire in this direction
