You can change the “appearance” of a soldier… but it basically put another head and it’s done.
What about a real skin modification? Or uniform picking?
I mean… I should be able to pick the lastest Hugo Boss collection for a my favorite squad uniform. Something black, with a friendly skull, that show the allies that we are the good guys and they are the baddies.

Sometimes the uniforms change, certain squads have a few different options for the uniform and you can use the token to tweak things. Having it so you can get a full cosmetic customization with zanny uniform options would really hurt readability and immersion, so I’m not in favor, but I would like the cosmetic token to let me actually choose which of the available options I get, instead of just rerolling, that way I don’t need to burn so many of them on occasion.
Would also open the possibility of doing a full on “attack of the clones” squad where everyone looks identical, which would be amusing.
My first gif was a little extrem, bur I agree with you. That exactly what I meant: uniform selection (standard historical uniform, no red capes)
Customisation is coming, but it’s not their greatest priority at the moment.
