What’s that?
Skills?
A couple of weeks ago everyone talk about bolt action above the SMG /meta spam.
What now, after the upgrade?
Honestly, you can always see difference btw good and average/bad players.
Good players play situationally; they can feel the rhythm of the match. They got the sensitivity to understand what was about to happen and what to do.
They are constantly checking the mini map, they are constantly trying to understand what the enemies’ top players are up to.
They are tracking enemy engineering points and trying to find out from where the enemy spawn.
So whatever the DEVS does the good player will adapt, and rely on his/hers experience.
Maybe it will affect the kill count, but in the end, this game is about winning.
I like from this analogue and I used it to explain a lot of stuff.
The meta is AA guns now.
I have no idea why they haven’t fixed the AA guns aimed at ground targets but they nerfed the machine gun nests into the ground…one of the only times they have kept a design flaw that actually benefits noob players spamming something with no skill…normally they cater to premium players so not fixing the AA is one of the craziest design flaws to leave in a game IMO…
You’r right that it doesn’t require much skill to operate an AA gun.
To ‘spam’ AA against infantry, you just have to find a good position and shoot one shot at a time. However, deploying it at the right time and finding a good position for it is tactical play. You have to be careful to build one there without getting killed. As only the engineer in the engineer squad can place it, a ‘noob’ player would have to deplete 2 squads before having a chance to try again if their first squad failed. But as you know, one AA gun in a good position can deter an enemy attack, or at least severely impair the attacker’s strength if left unimpeded.
I once was a noob in this game, and whenever I unlocked Engineer I, I always unlocked the AA first. The first match I got over 100 kills is with the help of an AA. The next time I got to 100 kills, 72 kills were from a single soldier that operated an AA. I could still be a half-noob now, because during my last match that got me to marshal rank, half of the kills were from using AAs. I may suck at shooting, but the ones who are ‘skilled’ may lack skill on countering AAs. And yet I know how to take out an enemy AA. People complain that the Flakvierling has too much HP and yes I agree. One cannon hit or two AT rifle hits on the central gun piece should take it out of action in real life. But AA guns can’t destroy tanks! All you need to do to destroy an AA gun with an tank is to drive your tank till it comes within range, shoot it with AP shells, and not get killed by something else in the process. Yet, one time when an enemy tank spotted me bailing out of the AA, it only fired three shots at it and then went away without destroying it. I came back to find the AA gun with only 20% HP remaining, and then I mowed down scores of enemies again.
The low numbers of other types of kills are evidence to me using AA.

I don’t recommend using attack aircraft to bomb an AA. But in a situation when you’re controlling a plane and you get shot by AA, just maneuver to dive bomb it with a 250kg bomb in return. There’s a fair chance you can survive, as half of the AA users aren’t skilled enough to down planes in one engagement. Don’t try to level bomb (approach from an low angle), as that is suicidal.
If you are infantry, it is suicidal to frontal assault an AA position. But it isn’t when flanking covertly. Don’t flank from near the point, try to avoid open ground, and let your squad members be passive (then they won’t shoot unless they’re shot at). If you get spotted by the AA, X your men into cover while it is still turning around, and throw smoke at it. (I recommend giving smoke grenades to the first guy in 3 of your squads.) Use grenades to attack it. If you aren’t close enough, then you’re effectively pinned down (rushing then=frontal assualt=you know). Still, you managed to pin down it too. If it keeps looking in your direction, it won’t be able to harass your friendlies anymore. Now, be prepared for a counterattack from the enemy infantry operating the AA. But don’t get exposed to the AA unless you see them coming. If you win the fight, look for a spawn point near the AA, as that is the sign of a professional AA camper (‘field gun section’ is my respectful designation).
If you’re a sniper, or a guy with a AT rifle, or an engineer who can build guns too, go somewhere that is safe while you can still shoot the operator. A dark window that is behind the spawn point is good. If you’re the engineer, build an AT gun. Keep shooting the AA with AP until it blazes. Usually one shot in the middle is enough. If you’re also manning a AA, shoot a little above the enemy AA gun shield. Shooting the gun shield itself is useless, but a little above it is a head that could be ripped off.
If you’re a radio operator, center your red-circle on the AA and it will be ablaze after 30 seconds. Unfortunately you can’t hit one that is in the grey zone.
If you’re a mortarman, you can harass the gunner. If you want to destroy the gun itself, you still have to flank.
If your first-encounter squad died, then pick a right squad to do the job. The real good players don’t complain, they learn and adapt.
I never failed to destroy an AA. But if you have trouble doing it, mark it, and ask friendlies to help you do it in chat. I always mark and enemy AA when I see one, and I’ll succeed if I survive the first second. Then I could use a yellow marker (blue to teammates) to fix the intel in place, even if my first soldier died.
Fun fact: most AA guns in WW2 are dual purpose, which means they could also deal with ground targets efficiently. The Germans are famous for using AA guns (88mm) against tanks, and there are numerous photographs that show AA (20mm Flak38 and Breda, 37mm Flak37) being used against infantry. I agree with nerfing the AA mount; but not by making it unrealistic. Just reduce the number of guns on the mount to one.
Flak38 single barrel mount:
The fact you are giving people tips about how to use AA guns against infantry is just pathetic, not only are you a shit player, but your tactics are all cheese and boring, at least if you are gonna suck at shooters don’t make the entire game worse by catering to your garbage tactics that wouldn’t work in real life…
First of all, in real life there are different tactics. Enlisted isn’t that realistic to be applied these tactics.
Second, I don’t need your pity. It may be you that is pathetic because you lack the skill to take out a AA gun. I wrote this so people could improve instead of whine.
Third, you’re attitude is foul. Show your stats if you are a better player.
Your attitude is way more foul than mine is you leveled up by spamming AA guns at ground targets hundreds of times and continue to do so instead of learning to play the game, lmao enjoy getting memed on you absolute pathetic excuse for a gamer
I’m sure insulting AA users on the forum is the best tactic to counter AAs in game. Keep it up!
Funniest shit ever is that one can still kill a PAK with an AA gun, but an AA gun can’t kill another AA gun.
A meh comment.
I made a thread about riflegrenade + 3xm24grenade + AP mines, added flamethrower squad with more grenades and AP mines, added with MkB squad.
I replaced MkB with SMG for leveling reasons, but flamethrowers with engineers.
I’m sure as hell to spam every single game with explosives to the ends of the universe, adding with AA guns to points where I can shoot directly to long term spawns.
Why? Because one nice lad killed me with RM-50 thrice and teabagged me - let he not be called forth (vladi29557).
My unyielding wrath feels no ends. It will not diminish. My ravenous hatred will scourge through the servers, game at a time.
I feel no pity. I have no remorse.
Wait, how can you say he teabagged you? I will start doing this if is possible for the enemy to see lol
I found this mf teabagging the corpse of my boy with the next soldier.
