As the devs stated, they think of going beyond ww2. But why go forward on enlisted when you can take the same beloved features and mass produced ww2 weapons of enlisted and make a seperate game regarding the vietnam and korean war for example? At the same time keeping the ww2 theme of enlisted.

Except they stated otherwise that they want to focus on WW2 for now. Putting effort into two or three separate games will only make ww2 content to appear even slower and not just Enlisted content but for the new game too, and we already getting new content at the snails pace they should be pumping multiple maps every 1-3 months. Unless they hire 50 devs out of nowhere it’s not sustainable in the long run if you want to split the dev teams attention from ww2 mode.

Moving to a whole separate game will likely be best when this game is in maintenance mode, meaning the game can be ran by a single person maybe two just to do server reboots and emergency maintenance. That’s only going to happen when they beat a dead horse and bled enlisted dry of everything that they can do for it.
Not sure how I would feel with them moving forward in time, But it would be interesting to see how the Korean war era and the late 40’s Just a few years after world war II into the early 50’s would look with enlisted’s current system.
Interesting nonetheless but I’m not sure if it has purpose, or can be separated and balanced properly from the world war II stuff.

Well then we have time then ig. I’m just hoping if they think of doing a different time period, then they should just make a whole seperate game off of it.
Enlisted is a WW2 game, even back in the campaign system when it was easy to explore multiple eras, only WW2 campaigns were added and only equipment that existed during the war.
There is literally zero reason for Darkflow to start experimenting with new eras out of blue.
Enlisted will stay a WW2 only game for a long time if not forever.

I don’t think they will go further than Korea if they do because its like 10 years after WW2 so they can use the same equipment mostly with like early jets.

I honestly don’t think enlisted needs to go past 1952. But it also needs to be heavily balanced to make sure it doesn’t spill over into the world war II era with full autos, tank advancements, helicopters/early generation jets, etc. in the early '50s they still used world war II equipment. They just had new stuff like the RPG-1, the IS-3, AK-47, M14, M20 super Bazooka, later generation sterling SMG variants, etc. all of which could be our hypothetical BR 6/7. But I wouldn’t bring this game beyond that, And it definitely needs to be separated from the rest of the world war II stuff.

I like the idea of doing like start times in HOI IV. You select which war you want. Like campaigns, but entire wars instead of fronts

That’s why I said it’s best to do when enlisted is in maintenance mode. Not to say that it can’t coexist within the same game, It’s just not advisable from a balanced standpoint They already have issues keeping things balanced as is.
I don’t necessarily think moving beyond WW2 is a bad thing, but I don’t want that for a LOOOOOOOOONG time. So much so that I’d prefer this game stay WW2
There is still so much weapons, vehicles, and especially maps and battles that have yet to be added, that there isn’t even any point bringing up other wars
most post war weapons are comparable weapons in-game already

but many are game breaking
Claymores, top attack at-missiles, under-slung grenade launcher, helicopters transport, helicopter gunships, missiles that are (infered-heatseeking-radar-laser guided), cluster bombs, gen3 jets and above, i am sure you could think of more
the game would go from combined arms to an air force shooting gallery

I’ve had 100% a few times, but they keep releasing new DLC, so it’s getting harder to keep up.
