would be nice for Soviets to get some free 100mm gun on the TT, to have at least some vehicle at high BR that doesn’t have super crazy long reloads.

Very unlikely to happen. The tech tree Jagdpanther we have is another variant.
There is no other SU-100 variant in War Thunder for dev to copy.

Duplicate premiums were sold in an entirely different context. They were in campaigns where they were not normally present as campaign unlocks.
And they were removed from the sale once the merging took place.

There was the Panzer IV E in Moscow, who only had HEAT shells. There was the F2 in Moscow as well and afaik it was the same plane.
On Normandy, you had the P-51C and the Bf109 G-6 or so and there was no difference either beyond the Allied squad having a black pilot. And either Berlin or Normandy had G-10 or G-14 variants, who only differed in terms of cannons.
And depending on how you assess the Premium Panzer IV Js, they were basically the same tank, only with some tracks and sideskirts.

Nonsense, Panther was sold, despite Panther also being an unlock - it literally existed so that players could have two, or people getting stuff early.
Panther A was being sold, while Panther G was unblocked.
Not to mention that all of these examples that have been mentioned were not sold as unique premiums first, only to become classic TT unlocks afterwards.
That would just be a scum tactic, completely disrespectful of the people who financially support the game.

AS 44 Model 5 Premium is literally still for sale on the same TT page you can unlock it for free on. Do you even play Enlisted…
Panther A was sold in berlin while unlockable in normandy
the " vanguard " panzer IV J was made as a premium for normandy AFTER being a starter tank in berlin

with that being said,
personally i would love for every premium unit to be in TTs with minor exceptions.
because allows to cycle with an additional one.
and in my case, use different presets.
i wouldn’t mind to get an additional 251 in the tt, a m8 greyhound, even if being different or just the same.
beside, premium squads get their benefits so.
i don’t see any problem with it.

well, those are two different vehicles.
because us in the tt has 1938 version ( while premium one is the 1939 ), and the italians has the m14/40 ( while premium being the m13 ).

g41 wasn’t a premium.
it was first in the TT and then added a unit as for premium.
while the AS 44 was " new " for the time and no priors.
which was THEN introduced in the TT but still has a different model
