Simplest Matchmaker solution: "Playground"

Ofc, any MM need players, so solution like this should be implemented first: Campaign of the week - solving online problems

Idea: split every campaign in two parts: before first good firearm and after. With this solution starters won’t face tryhards with end-game equipment.

Moscow - 11 lvl (Drum PPD / MP40)
Stalingrad - 9 lvl (SVT 38 / Gewehr (W))
Berlin - 7 lvl (SVT 40 / Gewehr 43)
Normandy - 7 lvl (Garand / Gewehr 43)
Tunisia - lvl 12 (M1 carbine / Italian semi)
Pacific - lvl 10 (M1 carbine / Type Hei)

I disagree.
As a bolt action lover i dont equip all my soldier with semi autos or smgs. Bcs i dont like it and bolties doing their job more than enough. I just give 2 or 1 semi to infantry if that squad doesnt have smgs guy or if tgey have 1 smg guy to use at attack/ cqc.
So i gurantee you that
i and other good 9 player equipped all with bolts against newbies with smgs and semi autos, we can easily win 7/10 matches.
The problem is not just about weapons, playerbase espc new guys are so bad that i wish my teammates are just bots somethimes.

Just to note:
I think something similar to this already exists…
My buddies and I when we are first starting out in a campaign, aren’t matched up against high level people usually. We start out against low level players. HOWEVER, if someone joins our group that DOES have progress, then we get put in against higher level players.

But that is for first 2 matches. And, as you can see by 3-5 new “your MM is bad” themes it isn’t enough

When it comes to MM, everyone seems to have a different opinion of what is “fair”. There isn’t really a good way to indicate a player’s “skill level” currently. You can easily grind out “ranking” in less populated servers, and the same with win percentage. However, another issue arises if a player was carried to that level by teammates.
When you throw in the difference of equipment, that just adds a whole extra layer to it. While I’m not disagreeing that the equipment can make a difference, I’ve also seen plenty of players with high ranking equipment with absolutely zero tactical sense or battlefield awareness.

Overall, when it comes to MM, there are a few key things that need to be done first:

The thing is, while some players want better matchmaking to better balance the teams, there are also still players that prefer to play against smaller teams and large numbers of AI. Not everyone is the same in that regard. I think through the implementation of my prior suggestion, we would likely see a better balance for everyone’s sake, rather than simply forcing new restrictions on players and seeing if it works.

I’m totally agree with you, but I’m ran out of likes.
