Ok i try,
If you build a Sandbag Wall you get XP for that, when you behind these walls and get shot but misses then the builder get XP too. I think 6xp
A shovel should be worth it to used too.
Every shovel full of dirt should give 3xp, even when the hole is pointless. The Activity should be Rewarded.
I see a Guy shuffeling x) a big trench so enemys couldnt push threw but he get no reward for his awesome work.
I builded Barbed Wire behind the trench and we easy managed to win.
Maybe it would be better to add points when someone uses the holes
Enemy vehicles cannot come out if they are inside for a certain period of time
Or when friendly forces use these trenches
Rather than frantically digging in the ground to cheat points at the beginning
That will just turn into a different kind of passive fighting
More points is not a bad thing and if some people know where the next objective is in advance they can be rewarded for setting up defences and with how DF has set up everything it’s too sweaty and it’s not enough points to go around so some sort of passive way of getting points wouldn’t be a bad thing
I think dirt dug up in, or close to, an objective should by default give some small amount of points due to risk and the intention to help the team. Anything beyond a certain range probably shouldnt for abuse reasons.
Because if a trench is useful, no matter the distance (such as mentioned by getting kills within, building, etc) then you would get bonus xp from your teammates, which should be the bulk of your gains, not the small bit for creating it.
I think this would be a good direction to reward useful engineer/support type teammates who take the time to make effective trenches, buildings, medboxes, etc being used by the team and getting that passive xp to make up for that lost time.
