I’m asking for opinions about this since, as it may be for other longtime players and avid battlepass farmers, I’m currently in a situation where I have WAY more silver than I actually need, while on the contrary being relatively short on bronze, so I could buy whatever I like but then I wouldn’t be able to upgrade it.
How about a way to buy bronze with silver (at a reasonable exchange rate)? Or, maybe, an option to buy weapons/soldiers at a higher silver price, but they come full star already? A bit P2W perhaps?
since there are an option or small window to change them out (like the bayonets) that might be an indication that they are thinking about switchable and upgradable parts to the weapons which will perhaps be binded to the squad upgrades which we cant choose yet. Think its just on the table so far and will perhaps not be implemented since that also involves different visualization changes in game that needs to be in sync.
Have to wait and see but i would love another scope to the Gewer 98. Its an fine rifle but more suited for marksmanship rn because of the scope instead of sniper duty which it sucks at cause of the fire rate xD Pre Kar suits more for that, but that one has the sniper scope so to say and hits almost as hard. Even if its bit lower in strength the outcome is almost the same overall except Sniper Kar struggles slight at range sometimes which to me is strange since it feels like the regular pre war Kar 98 can hit hard at the same long range. idk i might got it wrong to and they have the same output ^^
just to point out , there used to be a inventory system ingame in pre-alpha exacly like cuisine royal had where we could loot enemy soldiers pressing I to open the inventory mid game, and we could actually equip or remove scopes mid match . lmao
maybe the scope feature in the lobby was just forgoten since then.
they soon disable inventory after first pre-alpha test . was a pain, the only benefit , we could take more ammo from dead enemy bodies.

Sure the gewehr98 had 3 or so scope models because they we’re fitted in ww1 by several different factories. The Springfield m1903a1 had the Unertl 8x that you had to pull back into position with your hand after each shot because it was designed to slide forward to make sure it wasn’t damaged by recoil (this could be an interesting mechanic ingame, high magnification but more time needed between shots to slide the scope back).M1903a4 also had 2 scope variants.
My point is that while some sniper riflles had multiple scope designs, others didn’t and the ones that did weren’t interchangeable.
What i would use that slot for is smth else. How about a game mechanic were the scope gets damaged overtime (it fogs up, the lens get scratched, etc) and it gets more difficult to shoot and at some point you have to buy a new scope to replace the broken one (same model but new). Maybe the damage isn’t influenced by time but by the maner in which you die (meaning getting blown up by explosives, planes, tanks, arty, etc).
So the way this works in my head is like “so you’re playing as a sniper and you got blown up 100 times? Time for a new scope buddy”.
its an cool idea but think its a bit stretch of a mechanic to be implemented. However you could get different scope condition depending on your upgraded gun. If ex they are 3 star rifle the scope also got some scratches and dirt as the gun looks old visually. Could be something. I would also like a slight more sway in the scope or in sights in general when youre exhausted. Not substantially so you dont take away the action elements of it but just a notch more
Weapons in Enlisted are thankfully viable even when stock, let’s not turn this into War Thunder where newly obtained stuff is handicapped crap until fully maxed out.
Also, I’m not suggesting new upgrades, just the (facultative) option to use surplus silver instead of bronze to upgrade weapons the current way.
But its already in game. Your weapon wont be as accurate as it is fully upgraded. I mean i can snipe with my MKB quite far but it struggles at 3 star occasionally or quite often then when i got an 5 star. Same with most long range that includes snipers, regular rifles and semi autos At first i didnt thought G41 was good at long range but it is after you get in to terms with the sight and upgrades Been sniping ppl in the head with that one from quite some distance ^^
More sway after sprinting and a longer time between sprinting and holding breath to steady a shot. I would also love to see the actual reticles from the scopes, range settings for the scope and lensflare if a sniper is facing the sun and he’s not in a shaded spot.
Some sort of sniper damage is also in the game. I was blown by tanks a couple of times and when i went to get my sniper back, the scope was detached from the rifle.
wtf `? ^^ interesting. But could be a bugg to. My sniper sometimes is missing AP mines on some matches or that bugger is placing it when im not watching xD
But yeah some of that as long as they dont make the damn sun lens flare as bad as past BF games. That sht is just stupid
well i could pick up the rifle and also the detached scope that was laying on the ground beside it. But when i wanted to use the sniper, the scope was detached and i had to use irons even tho i had picked up the scope.
